What is Your New Years’ Resolution Gonna Be This Time?

I think mine is gonna be no more sugar, pot, or alcohol.  Sugar includes candy, sodas, junk food, etc.  I’ve really cut back on this stuff already, but I wanna nip it all in the bud totally.

The moment you set your foot on the path of liberation, you are apt to find that all your karmic creditors will come to your door. And that’s why it’s often said that people who start out on a serious work of yoga suddenly get sick and lose their money and their best friends drop dead and all kind of ghastly things happen. That’s because they served notice that they were going to do this […] Even if you serve notice privately on yourself that suddenly you’re going to drop it all, already the Devil knows–because who do you think the Devil is?

Be grateful of life -- be grateful that I still have time to walk my path fully. Then, continue to be present and do it. Go with the flow.

My resolution is to live the life I’m intended to live.

I know what it is, I know it’s there. It’s time to make it happen.

I made a resolution many years ago to not make any new year's resolutions and have kept it.

Hey folks, we’re gonna do this this year, no bullshit.  We gotta follow through on this now.  That doesn’t mean we never slip, but the bad habit part needs to be burned out of us.  So, I need you to commit now to doing that.  Start to get the Mind on board now so it doesn’t feel put-upon at the last minute.

Self discipline with a daily schedule, and to fill my home with glow in the dark aboriginal designs that are invisible by day.

Things like so:

@Joseph Maynor You seem like you know your shit about vision.

I've really a lot of trouble setting a goal for my self-actualisation and visualising it. Naturally I'm actually really good at visualisation but how can I just can't seem to set a proper goal.

I want to find out who I really am, I want to get good at socialising/communication and I want to get the most out of life as possible.

- Enlightenment isn't something I can visualise, which makes this really hard since that what I am the most motivated for

- Socialising and meeting/talking to girls is something that I've noticed automatically gets better with self-actualisation and consciousness-work but overall, it doesn't fulfil me nearly enough as Enlightenment-work does.

- Getting the most out of life is such a big goal that I don't know what to visualise. I cannot visualise my enlightenment and I don't really have a goal in self-actualisation that I want to reach. I guess I'm just doing it for the sake of doing it.

How could I get a proper vision that gets me the highest amount of motivation possible?

In the depths of winter,
I finally learned that within me
there lay an invincible summer.

Well today is my last day at my job and then I’m off for 9 days. I will experiment with my Kundalini and psychedelics. If you people had an idea of what this makes you capable of...

love to all souls.

no more daily news

 more workout

 more eating/cooking

 more connecting with people

 less porn

more travelling

less worrying about stuff that isnt important for me

I dont think that the new years resolution is a big pile of bullcrap or so. I think that the end of each year it is a nice look back at the past 12 months and see what was good and bad. But obviously if I wanna change my life I should kinda start now and not wait for the first of january. So I do.

Total respect to you all for your dedication to yourselves and the world...well, this is always weird for me because it's my birthday too...on one hand, I like the idea of commitments, new beginnings, etc...on the other hand, these resolutions don't have a very good reputation for longevity and seem to rely on sheer willpower alone to uphold...I can only express my dreams for 2018, and commit to things I know I am unable to stray from:

I commit to staying awake, to serving nature, to my hero's journey, & to my child....

I dream of my new life (where I am moving to) with a vibrant creative community, integrity, and love...I dream of actually doing my life purpose work in 2018...
