How To Help Depressed Friend Who's In Rrsi

4 posts in this topic

I met a girl, she's pretty, kind and absolutely intelligent, its almost impossible to know she's suffer from the chronic depression by the way she look. She has clinically diagonosed depression and has taken antidepressant (RRSI)for 3 years. She told me the childhood trauma she has suffered, the pain she felt and how hopeless she is, she can't sleep without anti-depressant, sometimes she goes without sleep for 2 days. She has suicidal thoughts and many of nights she just sits alone and cry, those pain were overwhelming and non of the logic reason could make it less.

In a way, those anti-depressant pills she took could make it worse and the psychiatrist in the clinic doesn't help, i want to walk her to the spiritual healing and psychedelics, but this is a huge new filed to the most of people, and it could be very hard to believe. Right now I'm doing my research and finding the path, I want to try my best to articulate the whole thing to her. If you were depress but came out from it or have experiences to treat mental illness by psychodelics please gives me advices. Since stop the anti-depressant immediatly could cause suicidal thoughts and very serious problems, but psychodelics like ayahuasca cannot combine with those anti-depressant, what could be the best way to do?

It is very kind of you for wanting to help her.

No, don't you tell her about taking psychedelics. You don't cure from depression like that.

She needs affection, understanding and support. It feels like heaven if you are depressed and get those things.Talk to her on a regular basis.Let her confess and explore her feelings.

Once your relationship develops a little bit, tell her about personal development. It can be huge. Also,Teal Swan's videos about depression suffering and suicidal thoughts are good.

I suffered from depression in the past and managed to get over it.I can't say that I am happy and that my life has turned 180 degrees..I am still working on myself and I have a lot of things to learn. What I've done:meditated using the Do Nothing Technique for 20 minutes every day..went to gym..went regularly on walks, hanged out with friends..They may seem like ineffective things..but they add up.Also, what helped me was watching animes(Japanese cartoons). They might seem stupid, but they are not. They are very entertaining and have a lot of deep messages..animes inspired me actually.

thank you for reply, I didn't tell her too much about this field yet, she's pretty grounded person she wouldn't  believe such things as miracle, so i just try to talk to her in her way so she can understand, company with her and makes her feel love. I can feel her and those emotion seems inevitable, she is desperate and hopeless, she said she has suffered for too long and nothing can help, she wouldn't  believe there is any possibilities to cure her. I decide to travel with her, tell her about meditation, then if it goes well i will take her to the ayahuasca retreat

If it seems like she has no other options you can teach her some spiritual stuff. That's the way I look at it often
