You got this! But don't do much at the same time. Meditation is the most important habit at the beginning. Good luck :)

I haven't masturbated in quite long time to be honest but the reason i stopped was not entirely this no-fap thing, i just saw little enjoyment in ejaculation, it was more like feeding the ego for 10-20 seconds of a intense pleasure. These days when i have sex i usually don't ejaculate i just please her through multiple orgasm until i or we feel energizes and inter-connected on a deeper level and enjoy the whole process like its all and orgasm to me because in this sense i am being more giving to the universe instead of doing it purely of ego for receiving pleasure/reward purposes. I realize the more giving i am without expecting anything in return, the more magic starts to occur in life.

For me dancing can help release energy if I feel like I have too much. Not sure if this is the way to go but it's what I do right now before learning more.

@Marco_the_Ape Yes man, I have already on my 5 days no masturbation challenge. I think I reason I fap is when Im lonely, or any negative feelings. Meditation and journaling helps, really.

@pluto Yes, that's when I fap too. Is to get pleasure or remove any negative emotions. When I get into more of awareness practices, like meditation or journaling, I kinda separate myself into those cravings. Im on my 5 days no fap now, and there were no feelings of wanting yet.

Why? Do you think masturbation is bad for mental health?

@Buba For me, Im depending on fap whenever Im lonely, depressed, wanted some stimulation, etc. It isn't actually bad. Its just a distraction for awareness I guess.

I see, to be honest the same applies for me as well. I even dont feel sexual urge to masturbate, but mental urge, to make my brain busy. But on the other hand, I read articles which claimed avoiding masturbation and sex would be harmful to physical health.

@Buba Yes, I think we can masturbate all we want and there's no problem with that. What Im getting at is transcending my physical desires, the instinct that you want to give pleasure to your "self",body, ego, etc, whatever you want to call it, whenever your lonely, hurt of "fill the void". I think if you can just sit and just be aware that this is happening to you consciousness, is when we can taste a glimpse of enlightenment.

I masturbate(d) because of the numbing effect it has on depression or loneliness.

Sometimes I just want to be loved so badly. There is this deep urge to have someone to be with. That’s when I break and do it.

I am currently getting better and better at having long periods without MO. Sometimes I even forget about it hehe.

@Max_V I have the same case as you have. But as I have been using meditation a lot more, I have been aware more too of those feelings. Feelings usually are, as thoughts, just come and go.

Me when I do noFap and is single:

First 3 days is the same. Day 4 I started to get anxious, I don't like the feeling so I just get laid(because that's not cheating right?). That's not sustainable so I relapse. In other words I can't do noFap if I'm single. o.O

Does the anxious part go away?

I'm at day 14 now for the first time. This energy rushing through my body is absolutely insane. Sometimes it almost feels like I'm having a full body orgasm. Pretty awesome.

Also a lot of things like feeling lonely, insecurity, emotions I've never really wanted to experience are coming to the surface. It's pretty rough, but amazing at the same time because I can finally work on some parts of me that I've always resisted. The things that were numbed down before are now being thrown in my face.

Releasing suppressed emotions. A very good process will make wonders. Keep trying.!

@PretentiousHuman I will join you, today I start. Getting a scheme where you can count the consistent days is great to keep you motivated. Even continue the scheme after you stop, so you can see how long the periods are in between.
