What Is Jesus?

1 post in this topic

How we project the pipe-dream of Jesus onto reality, when actually reality bobs and weaves around Jesus and the Devil, and under the legs of each and over the heads of each and around and around and around in circles.  Jesus and the Devil are conceptions, projections, lenses that we can look at reality through -- but we shouldn't try to force reality into these rules.  The map is not the territory.  Jesus is just as dangerous as the Devil.  The myth of the perfect human -- this is dripping with ego!  Do you see?  Reality just is, outside of all of our proclivities and distinctions.  What we like about reality is just as dangerous as what we don't like.  That selectivity is ego.  Ego is not just what is bad about reality, it's also what is good.  It's that kind of duality that is a deep problem.  God has no proclivities and makes no distinctions.  Moralization/egoic bifurcation of reality runs so deep.  We gotta watch out for what we think is good just as much as we watch out for what we think is bad!

Very well done video on point:
