How do you use psychedelics to raise consciousness permanently?

Hi,

I just went down a little form rabbit-hole and one thing brought up a lot was how psychedelics are a tool for consciousness expansion.

Question: What is different between those who really change their daily state of consciousness with psychedelics and those who don't? How do you use psychedelics to raise consciousness permanently?

My psychedelic background: I am 28, started taking ayahuasca when I was 18. 19-23 taking a lot of LSD, some shrooms. 22-26 countless experiences with ketamine. 23, iboga. 22-27 many large dose solo mushroom trips. 24 started doing bufo (5-MEO) 25 became a bufo "facilitator", continued worked at a retreat. I have had 100's of 5-meo experiences through bufo. 26- isolation in jungle drinking ayahuasca, ~15 times. DMT somewhere in the several dozen time range. MDMA therapy, and more.

I'm sharing that all to say: I have had quite a lot of experience with psychedelics in a variety of different settings. I have been able to access states and have direct realizations I can link back to Leo's work.  I can see how they have informed my understanding of reality and promoted healing.

However, I personally don't know how much my day-to-day consciousness has really changed, despite having had profound mind-expanding direct experiences/realizations. Sometimes I have thought of it as a staircase I am going slowly, slowly up, or that all the trips (and other work) are pieces which are slowly coming together. I have found that other practices, such as mediation, also can create great shifts. But everything fades (sometimes quickly) if I am not consistent.

Psychedelics or not: How do I create lasting (permanent) changes in my state of consciousness?

man, If you did not get it until now ... you won't ever get it :P

You are state addict :D you must have become quite resistant to some psyche substances too.

Go to vipassana retreat, do some body work and perform kriya yoga ideally also pranayama ... forget psychedelics for at least a year or two ... you might get it if you are not already brainwashed :D.

No offence, peace.

@taslimitless Hi, thanks for sharing your experience.

Maybe you're expecting a tool to do what is not supposed to do. Psychedelics are for peaks consciousness.

For changing baseline state you have a myriad of technics, my personal best: Kundalini Yoga (by Yogigems), Spacious meditations (by Michael Thaft), breathing/pranayama (by Wim Hof).

Once you get them right and feel comfortable. Then take psychedelics and do these practices.

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

During my last ayahuasca trip, something strange and unexpected happened:

I got much less high then I expected. I took another round, still not much happening. It's was certainly not the Ayahuasca itself as the shaman doing it with me got very high.

I had a certain feeling, a subtle message that accompanied my experience.  Don't try to get into high states, don't seek this extraordinary stuff. Engage with what is.

So the your question:

Psychedelics or not: How do I create lasting (permanent) changes in my state of consciousness?

My answer is: Be aware. Interact. Act. Act. Act. Act. Take action. Be aware. Take care of yourself. Take care of others. Engage in physical 3-D reality.

Maximize love for yourself and others. Whatever your understanding of love is - towards any human, friends, family, partner, strangers, colleagues - maximize this.

Other then this, Vipassana as mentioned above has been HUGE for me. But it's training camp, not the real game. Action, action, action and awareness is key. Life will put you into situations where you have act. Raising consciousness will happen as result is these actions.

❤️

Produce an intellectual effort while and after the trip.
