I am not a doctor, and can't make a diagnosis....but what I can say is ...that you likely wouldn't have asked this/ be on this forum, if you didn't want to evolve...right? I can also say, that it's my experience that much of society has these types of addictions and behaviours...it does not mean that they are not destructive....just that you may not be some extremely odd example of humanity....I personally do not agree with mental institutions and pharma- drugs for the mind in general. In fact at least 1/2 of these "symptoms" could be the result of gut- disbiosis. Would you be willing to try a few things for 60 days?

*Reduce to minimum, sugar and processed foods (no fast food, diet soda etc), eat more raw fruit/ veg (no sugar in coffee, tiny raw honey ok)

*Take strong pro-biotics from a health-food store, or eat unsweetened keifer/ sauerkraut/ etc 3 times a day

*Take a supplement like Empower Plus (something with strong minerals etc ...one meant for people with mental function issues)

*Walking in, and appreciating,  Nature

At that point, I would leave everything and go into a Zen monastery and tell the master to chain me to a rock for the next 5 years.

You either need a miracle, or years of hardcore self-developement.
That's why being a nobody for a few years would be the best thing that could happen to you, and I mean that literally.

So either you go to a Zen monastery and you surrender, or you overcome all these addictions by yourself.
You can try the second one for a year, and if you didn't even overcome one of them, then you should definitely go to a monastery.

And God in them

@MoneyTime , I think @Shin is right...my idea will likely improve things...but there is likely a deeper root cause that you will have to deal with eventually...that said, there are more neuro-transmitters in your gut than your other head-brain....and it's a good choice to start by fixing your gut...if you don't have access to a zen master...there may be other holistic treatment options to help you find the root causes....if you make the effort....

Sounds like you're holding anger for something that someone did. Then eating poorly which prevents you from having the clarity to see that you are the one hurt by holding the anger. Not that it's easy to let go of, but in the end, all else is procrastination.

It's not a disorder. It's the lack of discipline. You want someone to tell you it's a disorder, so that you can relax and continue living a lazy victim-minded life. But I'm here to tell you: you're not sick, and you need to lift your butt off the couch and start making serious efforts before you find yourself being 60 years-old and having missed all the opportunities.
