No more motivation to take the heros journey, conquer my inner demons, to live a life of passion..

I wonder why and how I lost that drive...

Maybe wahe slavery made me feel too comfortable..

You're on your way to the real meaning and purpose of life and on your way to less suffering. Meaning and purpose is what breeds suffering because we're only suffering the meaning we've given to our circumstances not what they are. You'll see, with keen observation, that your true purpose and meaning is to recognize your true nature and to be free from the mental shackles of the mind and to become one with love. Now everything becomes meaningful because you recognize it's your own reflection. Hang in there. You'll see this in due course. But you have to stay vigilant and disconnect from the world around you on the mental level. Stay within.

That was fucking inspiring, thank you!

Become familiar again with the mysterious and miraculous nature of existence. From that state, motivation is effortless.

My mind yearns for sovereignty.

What used to motivate you to go towards your life's purpose, back when you were motivated?

It might sound counter-intuitive... but try wallowing in it a little bit. Really FEEL the meaning-lessness. Allow yourself to not have a purpose and to not have motivation.

Let yourself sink down to the bottom.

Start again from the very beginning.

Who am I?

What's going on?

How did I get here?

What do I want?

Why do I feel this way?

What can I do to feel better?

Why am I not meditating?

"If you want to become whole,
let yourself be partial.
If you want to become straight,
let yourself be crooked.
If you want to become full,
let yourself be empty.
If you want to be reborn,
let yourself die.
If you want to be given everything,
give everything up.

The Master, by residing in the Tao,
sets an example for all beings.
Because he doesn't display himself,
people can see his light.
Because he has nothing to prove,
people can trust his words.
Because he doesn't know who he is,
people recognize themselves in him.
Because he has no goal in mind,
everything he does succeeds.

When the ancient Masters said,
"If you want to be given everything, give everything up,"
they weren't using empty phrases.
Only in being lived by the Tao can you be truly yourself."

- Lao Tzu

Life purpose is a scam advice. Follow your passion is a scam advice. My advice would be to aim for a high paying job and grind your way through life using Getting things done by David Allen

It can be a biochemical issue. When I occasionally struggle with depression / no motivation I have vitamin deficiencies.

Get a blood test if you haven't recently.

@Elton You came here to create something with your life.

Yes, going the hero's journey is hard and arduous. And it's most fulfilling when you walk it, stop, look around and take in the beauty and start walking again.

Life Purpose journey

Presence. Goodness. Grace. Love.

@Ramanujan What a trash mindset; good way to not only be miserable today but for the rest of your life.

@Elton Well speaking in vague generalities is not helping you. What is your life purpose and why are you not motivated towards it? Seems too hard? Not seeing results feeling like you're stagnating? Didn't pick goals that are actually interesting to you?

My life purpose is to be a world travelling entrepreneur with a harem that works towards saving the world. The exact way to fulfill that changes by the week but it's been mostly the same as 10 years ago; just getting closer each day. Definitely motivating overall but have had many slumps and suicidal ideation when things didn't seem to be panning out so definitely don't expect a great journey upwards.

@Ramanujan Can you break that down if you don't mind? What did you spend 10 years doing, how did it fail and what would've needed to happen differently for it to be worth it for you? I'm big on business and product market fit; usually it's quite hard to make unorthodox things work but it is pretty much always possible.

I tried to find passion . I worked hard , by looking into my past to see what was the thing i was intrested in. The problem was my mom was an authortarian parent . She was very strict and never let me do anything other than studying. She destroyed all the things that i am passionate about. But people like Leo and Robert Greene argue you to find your passion. And i got seduced into this ideology and keep trying and trying and trying. The reson i took so long to find it was my mom who burn down all my intrest

i found my passion at last after 8 years and my passion is computers . I got fascinated with playing video games and internet and other things that a  computer and mobile do .

there is one problem. I need a 4 year degree to get computer jobs. i am 28 now. IF i dont get a 4 year degree , i wont be able to enter most jobs. Startups would hire people without degree , but even if i get a job , i need to study for 4 years outside job to get a degree.

I found  my passion. But it took 9 years of experimentation and soul searching . If something happen to my mom , i am fucked.

i will be forced to move into streets for a job . I am 28 and Degreeless

Usually this happens to me. I have a long period in which there is no meaning and zero motivation. You can just do nothing and eventually you'll find something that sparks you again

You have the wrong mindset. I was 28 fucking around not doing much. Now I get paid to travel and build brands. Focus on the skillset, get a bs job to pay the bills and learn AI based coding. You could be rolling in money by 30 if you do it right. With your username and picture I'll assume you're from SEA and so that's perfect. Focus on finding something you can sell to a western customer in their currency and then spend in your weaker currency.

How good are you at coding from a scale of 1-10 and how proficient are you with AI tools on that same 1-10 scale?

Those two things are the key to your future my brother, don't give up hope you're at the perfect time in history to profit and get massive success from this next technological wave.

My life purpose is to be a world travelling entrepreneur with many women that works to help solve the world's problems.

I'm quite confident that you can reach at least 2/10 proficiency in programming in a week. They have free courses on Youtube, this one is 2 hours but seems a bit outdated posted 4 years ago

I'm sure you can find something decent and work through it this week. Why don't we have this conversation a week from now and you can update me on your progress.

You got this brother
