What are your thoughts on Only Fans?

101 posts in this topic

So after a decade of taking artistic semi nude pictures for myself and posting some on IG I decided to create an Only Fans, still navigating the waters of this new territory and questioning where Im getting myself into so would love to hear what you all think.

A little about my background before you think I'm just selling my body, Im an architect but at the moment quit my office job and am focusing on my YT channel, IG page and my courses and mentoring sessions, Im also exploring more of my sexuality, I feel like big part of embracing my shadow and processing the traumas of repression (im from the countryside of Brazil and had a really conservative religious upbringing) is diving into those areas where society tells me not to.

One of those areas was psychedelics and oh boy, am I loving this road people always told me not to get into, with sex its been the same thing, all the taboos of society hide the gems of life, "the cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek". My biggest breakthroughs in life came from diving into psychedelics, getting comfortable with death and my own mortality, and now tapping into this life source (aka sex energy) another thing I find it to be interesting is that all the people buying my pictures are very respectful, no one is saying nonsense, it can also be because of my content, I talk mainly about psychedelics and personal development.

I had a psychedelic trip where the theme was sexual repression from my ancestors and society and the thought "I am that too" was stuck in my mind, then I went to look up and found "Ta Tvam Asi: I Am That Too" which is a Sanskrit term, I feel like Im becoming more whole in the process of accepting Im not only love and light, Im also all of the other stuff I repress and deny, what Ram Dass called humanity, darkness, the bad, the ugly.

Thank you for reading!

I think it's great you're working on healing your trauma, I see a lot of people talking about that but not actually anything about it or going passed their comfort zone in the world. I don't think there's much wrong with doing Only Fans but I can't imagine it's your Life Purpose, who knows, maybe it is? If you're not doing anything you don't like and it's helping you fund your actual life purpose and healing, then it sounds fine to me.

I would just ask yourself about it, get clear on your values and see if it aligns with them

before you think I'm just selling my body,

That's exactly what OF is and that's what anyone who subscribers to a "content creator" on OF understands.

Only fans no different from any other trash porn website with the pay wall being only difference.

I think the deeper reason is that maybe you are worried that quitting your job as an architect will significantly cut your income and being IG and YouTuber might not be enough to provide you the same level of financial security so you're creating a delusional fantasy that somehow OF content is aligned with your healing so you can excuse your moral distortion because i bet deep down you know it's a terrible choice of "hobby/career" , hence why this post came up to be because you were kinda hoping for the forum to talk you out of it

... Furthermore

No amount of spiritual mambo jumbo wrapped nearly in fluffy words like "healing, trauma, release, manifestation, acceptation" will cover up the fact that once you start posting nude content on OF, you're selling yourself off to the lowest bidder and with it your dignity and divine feminine purity.

There is a reason OF is single hand navigating friendly app, because that's the expectation you create, you become a jerk off material to bunch of adolescents and if you become popular enough your content will leak anyway.

Please for the love of god have some self respect. You can pursue true sexual expression through tantric experience and I'd encourage you to do that but don't do it in a such shallow way

Also, worth mentioning, the competition on OF is absolutely staggering and so while you may be posting intimate content, the level of ROI -return on investment (or more precisely ROLD - return on lost dignity) might be pretty bad unless you are exceptionally good at creating tickle content on IG and if that's the path then... well, none of this will change your mind.

Whatever you choose, may all the divine guide your path 🙏

Only fans is not very different than selling drugs imo. Or selling video games. Junk food. Or any other such addiction. Sex is a drug for people. And the people who use Only fans are all addicts.

From a spiritual point of view buddha would say. Having "right livelihood" is important. Being an addiction seller is not a very satvic income arguably. It's best if your income comes from helping people. Not exploiting their addictions and making the world just a shade darker.

This ties well with life traps video Leo made. "Don't sell your soul to the devil to gain money, fame, power etc.". Very tempting tho. I can understand the people who choose that path. I'd be on only fans myself if I was a girl :D (joking...) but I understand the temptation.

However here's an interesting insight just for the fun of it.

Only fans is not much different than Instagram.

Bam. Think about that lol.

@Salvijus haha so true! That's why I created Only Fans, I would already post everything for free on IG. Appreciate your comment, you mentioned Buddha but Buddhism is a every rigid and strict religion, it represses the feminine like many others. I think it's silly that we are all here on earth because our parents had sex and still when we talk about sexuality everything is seen as bad, ugly and disgusting, like the full expression of sex needs to be only for procreation, or in bed only allowed to be love and light and all vanilla.

I do like taking the pictures, it's not something I do just for the money, I started a month ago and am already in the top 8% content creators, I haven't showed anything, there are some pictures of my boobs but that's it. I don't intend to post super sexual stuff, just keep going with the content I was already creating before but now I'm getting paid, which of course gives me freedom to do more of my work, my youtube channel is growing, I have 11k followers already and IG 37K followers, I hold online women circles (I have a whatsapp group with 500 women) and will start holding mushroom sessions here in Miami so it's not like Im only focusing on OF.

Another fun fact is that I became "crazy" after a Vipassana retreat, I got out of there wanting to fully live the human life, all facets of it, then the pictures started. Since I was a child I like to be naked and I've always been very comfortable with my body, maybe this exploration is an integration of stage Orange.

I think what Im really questioning is the repression of the feminine, I do believe that the toxicity with sex comes exactly from this repression. Like to be spiritual and divine I need to be like virgin Mary, I cannot be whole, only some parts of me are acceptable. I've also been studying about Mary Magdalene and am shocked how much she was connected to her sexuality. Even reading the book The Religion with No Name that talks about the open air churches of Dionysius, where women would hangout in the sun naked working with herbs (some of them psychedelic).

@Michael569 thank you for your comment Michael. I agree on many things you said, but like I mentioned before I think the spiritual community became the new religion. If you are spiritual you cannot do this, you need to dress in a certain way and only show the side of you that will be accepted, like the quote on your signature, there is fear when I think about expressing who I really am, because it might not be accepted, but in the end it's me with myself, the others don't really exist. So as long as Im doing something that feels good to me Im good with myself.

There is so much to uncover, to deconstruct and get rid off. The repression of the feminine is huge still in nowadays society. I see many women who post here totally in their masculine, very mental. You mentioned tantra, it's a practice of mine and something I study deeply, tantra follows the wisdom of the body and says that all is one. My light and my darkness, my cute side but also my wild side. When people talk about tantric practices everyone thinks that it's slow cute sex, but the full expression of tantra is liberated and allowed to express everything, it's rough sex.

Maybe it's where Im at in my journey right now. I was watching the new video yesterday I did think about that, but I don't think my pictures make me less valuable. I love the quote:

If a work of art is rich and vital and complete, those who have artistic instincts will see its beauty, and those to whom ethics appeal more strongly than aesthetics will see its moral lesson. It will fill the cowardly with terror, and the unclean will see in it their own shame.

Each person will see me in their own lenses, some will judge and some will appreciate, but none of the opinions will have anything to do with who I really am.

@MsNobody

I have seen people on Instagram do it and are passionate about it. I think sexuality and art combined is an amazing thing. Even if people are just horny when they look at your pictures, it will somewhat enrich the viewer's perspective. But I can't say if the path will be smooth for you, as there are people out there who will like to abuse you or your content. I think it would be "selling your soul" if you were forced to do it. But if you take responsibility for what happens to you, I think you are in a better position. Imo, you would be better off first thinking about the traps that you think you might encounter, and then you'll know better how to continue doing it safely.

Expect people here to be judgmental because they want to help you or demonize you, but they'll most likely misunderstand your situation.

Also, why not use Patreon instead of OF?

@Nemra appreciate your comment! So my public is in Brazil, not sure if Patreon is a thing there but I will start recording videos in English for my channel and build my public here is US too. The only trap I can think of is my pictures leaking, but like I mentioned Im only taking sensual pictures, not showing anything. I'm also into Shibari, it might be my niche on OF, I thought about talking about psychedelics, which is my main passion but OF rules don't allow talking about them. Not everyone on Only Fans is selling pictures of their body, there are creators teaching people things, like Shibari.

I understand you. A lot of people are unaware, so they don't know that there is more interesting content than just nudes. They don't explore enough or just aren't into it and regard it as a bad thing.

I know people who have been doing BDSM on Patreon. 🙂

Your content will be leaked if you do it for a long time. It won't be an issue if you offer unique content.

not necessarily, there are no rules other than what each of us imposes on ourselves. Nobody is saying, "You must not do OF". You are a free woman with free will; do whatever you like. All we're saying is "Think about the potential long-term consequences of your choices"

You are young and beautiful, and obviously, many guys would pay to see more. But one day you may look back and wish you could take that choice you made in the heat of the moment away.

If you do decide to pursue this path, I truly wish you success and fulfilment on it ^_^

Yea, I've had quite an exposure to Magdalene's mysteries and teachings myself. The path of sexuality and all that. It's legit.

But I don't know... The situation is very tricky with many possible different interpretations it would seem to me. If I were you, I would ask myself with deep deep honesty, "what is driving me?"

Because for example, I'm comfortable being naked myself. I spend all summer on public nude beach. I always sleep naked. In fact being naked is very liberating. But I never once had a desire to show myself. To show off in any way to others.

So I would question that desire. Being comfortable with sexuality and nudity is good. But where is the desire to "show off" is coming from. This is what I would question. Based on that you can judge if it's coming from a good place or some misguided place.

Main points on OF that I heard of:

  • It can be risky to use Onlyfans because once you post something online it can be difficult or impossible to take it down. This can lead to problems such as being unable to get a job or being bullied.
  • Some management agencies take advantage of creators, especially young people. They may promise creators more money than they can realistically make and they may pressure creators to do things that they are not comfortable with.

Also even tho I'm comfortable with my sexuality fully. I don't indulge in sexuality almost at all. It's just some silly thing that pops up occasionally and goes away without much attention being given to it.

Sometimes people in the name of embracing their sexuality actually are just victims of addiction going wild. That's something also worth contemplating.

The topic is quite tricky.
