It's not 'just an illusion'. Illusion is all there is.
You are disappointed in it because you're still buying it and expecting to gain anything by gambling your life on it.
If you truly get it, then all there is is just enjoying the ride. There is no reason to change and fight it.

    ?? No reason at all

Another way to think of things from the place of AWARENESS is there isn’t a this or that contradiction. There is only action. So some may think one will be to passive, or to active, but in actuality it’s just a harmony of both. Balance so to speak.

The i with its personalized content will give vitality or movement to the name, to the word, its own influence with thought(the experiencer’s memory/experiences).

Compassion is not an expression of ‘personal’ experience. Not one's own feeling, not what one feels about something, not a thought colored by, or proceeding from emotion.

One who embraces not to be anything, to be nothing, completely nothing, then there is compassion.

    Its not empathy or sympathy.

Compassion isn’t present when there is the continual endless cycle of conscious effort sustaining its own self centered continuity.

Compassion isn’t the word, an image born of the past(not dead).

    Compassion is alive, dynamic.

When the self feeding movement of thought-self at its root ends, compassion, love is.

  5. “Spirituality”...advancement, progress, results???

Those who are serious about the significance of spirituality, will you be willing to enter deep into the horror, the beauty, and the silence, without hesitation, aversion?

It is only in this conditioned field of time that we seek results and resist the dynamic uncertainty of what-is.

Is there not any difference between chasing spiritual/mystical experiences and chasing psychological-spiritual results, as both are a movement of time.

We can spend years, decades, our entire life developing/advancing(resisting), or we can step out of that current of disorder now.

To die to the past means to die to the future. To die to the self-TIME, which is love.

To live means the willingness to die. No resistance, no attachment, freedom without the restraints of fear.

Can we see that when it comes to spirituality, that advancement, progress, and looking for results, is actually one unitary movement of fear/resistance/the i?

Can there be a stepping out of the field of time?

Can we cease this time bound resistance?

Can we willingly give up that which we mechanically think we have to rely on, {Time-thought}, which is resistance in essence?

Or shall we spend what little time we have swimming in the muddled sea of  psychological strife-conflict?

  6. Relationship is aloneness...??

I think it’s important to understand the difference between aloneness and isolation. One is a reaction and the other is absent any kind of positive/negative movement of choice. In most cases the monk ‘escapes’ to a cave to bring about a sense of “their own” connection with the whole. As in a motive born of time(self centered action). It’s like trying to bring about relationship/connection by reacting to the lack of connection/relationship, or moving positively towards connection/harmony by reacting to lack of silence/harmony. This action is actually born of isolation/alienation.

One may soon see that true aloneness does not arise out of positive/negative action/reaction, but arises without conditioned response of self(choice), in either direction forward or backward. It is rather total and complete action that arises from seeing the true nature of WHAT IS , as in connection/relationship as an interdependent whole itself.

Relationship/connection/communion is the essence of aloneness. Aloneness implies wholeness. Life is relationship, and relationship is life. Without relationship “enlightenment” means nothing, and there will be no enlightened consciousness.  In order for an enlightened consciousness the conditioned reaction of resistance/attachment-identification and its tendency to seek refuge in escape/seclusion must end.

It’s important to remember that being truly alone does not mean being secluded/isolated, but is found in connection itself...Yes there is a need physical/mental space and silence to explore, learn, to see clearly without distraction, but true understanding/leaning/SEEING comes with seeing the actuality of connection/relationship.

As one starts to explore/understand themselves, they see that relationship reveals one’s true motives/intentions and shows the reality of what is the case in themselves. There reality of hidden resistance/attachment/identification can be a tool to see clearly in relationship.

Relationship is the perhaps the greatest teacher. One soon comes to realize that running away to a cave is simply a reactionary response and expression/compulsion to disconnect/detach to self sustain the independent “i”. This action is ultimately born of fear/resistance. The hermit that escapes to the hills and resides in a cave is whether he thinks or not still related to what he/she calls the rat race/world of distraction. Such an action is still influenced by illusion.

The question one can ask is what gives rise to the action we take? Is it a reactionary response born of alienation/isolation, resistance-fear, or is it intelligent action born of actual freedom?

Or is it action born of wholeness/aloneness, and CREATIVE?

Do we see the necessity of Freedom without reaction/attachment/resistance?

It is pretty simple really, using others to better understand ourselves. Teaching people not to be so self centered (or raising them to be). Giving focus on the collective in any given exchange. She explains how human interaction is in our innate being as we were dependent since birth. Our connections with people directly reflect our connections with ourselves. Compassion is definitely the right way to go. In oneness there is love and compassion.

  8. There is a realm of timelessness where there is no beginning or end, (sequential time), or a series of consecutive momentary happenings. This is not merely an intellectual/conceptualizatual invention of thought, (what thought thinks about /contemplates about), but can be seen direct as phenomenon, or as what can be considered the ending of experience.

This “place” or realm comes about when all psychological reaction/responses of thought cease to be activated, as in a form of resistance to the inevitable change of “evolutionary process” (dynamic movement of life or WHAT IS). This seems to be an instinctual/conditioned response to environmental conditions as they arise in there dynamic nature. “The thinker” seems to respond to environmental obstacles, (control), as that is a conditioned response of the organism/environment as a function.

But psychologically, self/ego resists the unpredictable and impermanent nature of change and interprets that as being unsafe or not a secure situation/position for “self” to be in. That self then seems to cling to its self, which is its content,(knowledge, experience, memory) or (thought/time). This is the attempt to establish for itself what seems to be secure or permanent.

This sense of time/thought is the result of reaction as the self/ego searching for certainty/permanence or security. Seems to do so by using thought/time as a measure to bring about a capacity to anticaipate/predict various environmental challenges. This seems to be a type of defensive measure, as in the function of the mechanism as the intellect. Seems to do this by identifying with its content(thought), which is that which is familiar, as in the response of memory. Memory which is of the “past” is then modified into or onto the “present”/now, and then projects a moment of time as “future”.

This seems to establish and perpetuate the illusion of time as having that beginning and end continuity/progression. This movement of psychological/mechanical reaction seems to reinforce/nourish the illusion of there being a continual process of cause and effect (evanescent like effect), as in a series of short lived moments as starting and ending one after another.

Awareness to this process can and may dissolve and bring about a cessation to that illusion of time-thought movement and bring about that timeless “realm” that doesn’t change, which means No more beginning and end as that which is referred too as change in this very thread.

This is not a cultivated result. Not a skill. It does not come about by any activity of practice/routine/effort. As cultivation of a skill imply conditioned action/reaction and are tacit as this reactionary instinctual mechanism of thought-time(self). That continual refinement of skill is actually what seems to establish that very illusion or time in itself. Cultivation is implicit in time-thought itself and only sustains that time bound propulsion.

As one resides in this headless-immeasurable realm there is direct perception that the timeless, or (unlimited), is not separate from time,(the limited), but the timeless contains, if i can use that word, time within it.

As directly observed, (as in ‘actually’ observed) in and as this headless/immeasurable realm, that which is timeless is the ground. Time seems to be simply a manifestation or process(limited energy), that arises within that emptiness/nothingness,(infinite energy).

As this emptiness extends further and further into the this void, this limited energy as time/thought seems no less intelligent/infinite than the unlimited energy of the unlimited.

It can be seen first hand that time/change is simply an aspect of the unlimited.

  9. Examples of the application of thought to solve psychological problems...

The “i” that conforms to patterns such as; routined methods, systems, techniques...accumulates knowledge and then attempts to apply that knowledge to solve psychological problems.

The above imply looking to thought(memory, knowledge, experience), to solve problems that thought has created.

This is not advising others not to participate in the above, but to simply share how “the self” and the means that that self applies to end itself, are actually one unitary movement of self(psychological time).

This is to understand the self/thought. To indicate all the subtle ways in which the self can and will sustain its own illusion by looking to thought to free itself from that false movement of psychological division.

  10. This is how thought operates when it comes to practical-functional affairs; like learning how to speak a language, how to drive, how to work a computer, and so on.

But the thing is the illusory self uses that same operation psychologically to solve “its” problems.

But that operation nourishes those very problems(“the i”).

To operate that way implies resistance to what-is.

Perhaps it's better not to ask for a way, but for rather, for you to describe-explain what is meant by "seeing of the fact" or "staying with the fact."

    To see that I=the fact.

    “I” = conflict

    “I” = anger

    ”I” = suffering

so any movement from that position of “i” that pursues the facts opposite is sustaining that illusion of i.

  12. 6 minutes ago, SoonHei said:

@Faceless yes. i do see that...

hmm, I guess i am asking for a way...

    but the way is: no-way

    any doing negates the understanding ;

it just needs to be deeply seen - without an action, thought, or a process bringing about that deep seeing.

    would that be correct?

Do you see how asking for a way reinforces the i?

  13. There is conflict/suffering only when there is resistance to the fact, which looks for its opposite in the abstraction. This resistance perpetuates the continuity of “i”.

To escape the fact (dis-satisfaction) and pursue the abstraction (satisfaction), is the very psychological movement that nourishes conflict/suffering/unhappiness.

What happens when there is just a staying with the fact?

Is that fact then any longer the fact?
