  1. Or is a Guru more than a Life Coach? I'm trying to get clear about this Life Coach concept which seems to be both new and old at once. Relevant video to watch:
  2. What's the trip like? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanita_muscaria
  3. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvia_divinorum I picked up some 120x haha. I'm not gonna do any until I have a sitter with me that is totally sober. I've had the 40x, the 60x, and now I have the 120x! The SALVIA Experiential Rating Scale Level - 1 "S" stands for SUBTLE effects. A feeling that "something" is happening, although it is difficulty to say just what. Relaxation and increased sensual appreciation may be noted. This mild level is useful for meditation and may facilitate sexual pleasure. Level - 2 "A" stands for ALTERED perception. Colors and textures are more pronounced. Appreciation of music may be enhanced. Space may appear of greater or lesser depth than is usual. But visions do not occur at this level. Thinking becomes less logical, and more playful; short-term memory difficulties may be noted. Level - 3 "L" stands for LIGHT visionary state. Closed-eye visuals (clear imagery with eyes closed: fractal patterns, vine-like and geometric patterns, visions of objects and designs). The imagery is often two dimensional. If open-eyed visual effects occur, these are usually vague and fleeting. At this level, phenomena similar to the hypnagogic phenomena that some people experience at sleep onset occur. At this level, visions are experienced as "eye candy" but are not confused with reality. Level - 4 "V" stands for VIVID visionary state. Complex three-dimensional realistic appearing scenes occur. Sometimes voices may be heard. With eyes open, contact with consensual reality will not be entirely lost, but when you close your eyes you may forget about consensus reality and enter completely into a dreamlike scene. Shamanistic journeying to other lands--foreign or imaginary; encounters with beings (entities, spirits) or travels to other ages may occur. You may even live the life of another person. At this level you have entered the shaman's world. Or if you prefer: you are in "dream time." With eyes closed, you experience fantasies (dream like happenings with a story line to them). So long as your eyes are closed you may believe they are really occurring. This differs from the "eye candy" closed-eye imagery, of level 3. Level - 5 "I" stands for IMMATERIAL existence. At this level one may no longer be aware of having a body. Consciousness remains and some thought processes are still lucid, but one becomes completely involved in inner experience and looses all contact with consensual reality. Individuality may be lost; one experiences merging with God/dess, mind, universal consciousness, or bizarre fusions with other objects--real or imagined (e.g. experiences such as merging with a wall or piece of furniture). At this level it is impossible to function in consensual reality, but unfortunately some people do not remain still but move around in this befuddled state. For this reason a sitter is essential to ensure the safety of someone voyaging to these deep levels. To the person experiencing this the phenomenon may be terrifying or exceedingly pleasant; but to an outside observer the individual may appear confused or disoriented. Level 6 - "A" stands for AMNESIC effects. At this stage, either consciousness is lost, or at least one is unable to later recall what one had experienced. The individual may fall, or remain immobile or thrash around; somnambulistic behavior may occur. Injuries can be sustained without pain being felt; on awakening, the individual will have no recollection of what he/she did, experienced, or said in level 6. People cannot recall what they experience in this very deep trance state. This is not a desirable level, because nothing can latter be recalled of the experience.
  4. Give me the Shadow Stages for each of the following Spiral Dynamics stages: (1) Blue (2) Orange (3) Green (4) Yellow (5) Turquoise (6) Coral (7) Teal E.g., is Blue the shadow of Turquoise? Like that. But think for yourself too, no speculating. Draw from your own observation and experience. If you don't know, just leave that one blank and answer the ones you think you can take a reasonable crack at. The more detailed analysis you can give from your own observation and experience the better. Just giving me the Stage Only is very conclusory. You need to give me details that support your conclusions. This is my only tisk tisk that I have for the Forum. There are far too many conclusory statements being made on here with no desire to back them up with reasons or detail. And the reason why I know there's no desire is because even when I ask for reasons, nobody ever gives them to me. So I've proved by observation and experience on the Forum that many if not most people are averse to backing up their conclusions with reasons or detail.
  5. Big 5 Aspects of Personality Cognitive Functions of MBTI Ennneagram of Personality Theory The 4 Humors Personality Theory How to think in terms of personality theory in everyday life? I do this so I know it's possible. You wanna become a master of personality typing in your personal development work. It's extremely useful and fun to boot. This is extremely important in understanding all kinds of relationships (including but not limited to intimate relationships). You should get to the point where you can type people you come into contact with in terms of MBTI (albeit tentatively). You should know how to look up cognitive functions for each type and know what each cognitive functions means. E.g., you should know what introverted vs. extroverted thinking is, you should know what introverted vs. extroverted intuition is, you should know what introverted vs. extroverted sensing is, and you should know what introverted vs. extroverted feeling is. There's a lot you gotta educate yourself with here, but personality theory is a powerful tool in Personal Development Work, especially for Relationships work. This will teach you the mechanics, the look under the hood, of Relationships.
  6. How to be a scientist in a lab with your psychedelics and getting optimal bang for your buck regarding personal development work. And maybe give specific advice for each one, emphasizing psychedelics that people are gonna get easily like shrooms and lsd. And then explain what to make of psychedelic insights — both during the trip, and after the trip.
  7. @Truth Addict What if Evolution is both linear and non-linear? Apply the Paradox of Order and Chaos to Evolution as well.
  8. You have a lot of Enthusiasm. That's good. It's one of your strengths.
  9. It's a thought/visualization in the Cognitive Body.
  10. The environment that you're in affects your whole life. You're stewing in your environment soaking all of it in. One of the best and easiest things you can do in your personal/ interpersonal development work is to optimize your setting (change where you live). I wouldn't discount this. Setting is huge. Every city that I've traveled to had a kind of controlling theme or vibe that will program you if you stay there long enough. So, you wanna be conscious of that programming and consciously choose/change your environment (where you live).
  11. This is a good post. I guess it depends on what your objectives are in life. But if you're an explorer who likes to reside at the very tip of Evolution, this is where things are headed.
  12. I think you have a opinion that might be closing you down to possibilities that are good. See, this is why you gotta factor in Evolution and be at the tip of that. Evolution means that you are comfortable with change, novelty, innovation, exploration, etc.
  13. Start a blog.
  14. You could take experience to be the Actual too. This is why Metaphysics breaks down regarding attempts to capture Being like a butterfly in a net. What is that which takes? Is it not the Mind?
  15. You need a strategy to move yourself up the Emotional Scale -- this is part of what we might call Emotional Mastery Work. Look at where revenge is on the scale. Don't feel bad if you're not good at Emotional Mastery work. We can put together systems and strategies to get much better at this skill than we are. This is mastering the skill of "Forcing Your Mood". Leo talks about this in his Blueprint* (see link below). *Leo's Blueprint https://www.actualized.org/blueprint
  16. I say build both. I'm just trying to note the limiting-belief in our collective consciousness/unconsciousness that online community building doesn't count as social activity. Sure it does! Huge social activity. I'm talking with people online all day long. And I also want to have some real relationships in my life too. You can do both, see. We can walk and chew gum at the same time. It's not one to the exclusion of the other -- we can and most of us probably should do both. Don't feel ashamed of your online relationship connections, they're a bonafide part of your social life and your social activity. Own it! Video on point to watch:
  17. Leave Shinzen Young alone. He is fortunate to be one person among us to be able to give something back to the world. Be tactful. You take shots at people so easily. Reverse that. Try to avoid taking shots at people: Err on that side. That's a good single-principle strategy point that you can work with for increasing your social maturity. This is Interpersonal Development work. You gotta mediate that sharp edge. Videos on point to watch:
