I recently bought the Claude Opus 3 after seeing it on Leo's blog and found something really creative that you can do find your life purpose and ideas for task/projects to get you there. I generated a PDF from OneNote with all my notes from the Life Purpose course, uploaded it to Claude, and asked it questions to help get me on track. Some of the best questions I asked were:

-Given what you know about me, what are some different ways I could formulate my Life Purpose statement to make it sound more authentic?

-Give me a vision of what my life could look like if I was living my Life Purpose, be specific

-Give me a list of tasks and projects that I can do in order to get on track with my Life Purpose

-Brainstorm a list of people who have a life purpose similar to mine and a brief summary of how they did it

It's not a substitute for doing the real inner work but I think that it is a great tool to use especially if you took the Life Purpose course and want help brainstorming an working on your Life Purpose

But what were the results? How good were its suggestions/ideas?

Just start doing very simple minimal effort videos. You have 0 reference experience and don't even know if you will like it.

Well edited videos by themselves, not even taking in consideration the content, preparation or research, take 5x more editing time than you think, and significantly more if you have to still learn the software

Yea i'd second this. I recently started posting on Youtube. People don't understand how much time is required just for one video with basic editing.

Everyone wants to be a Youtuber but I doubt many people want to consistently put in the work required. Makes me appreciate what Leo did even more.

It's why there are so many one-take iPhone YouTubers. And also why so many Youtubers barely post weekly. If you're researching, writing a rough script outline, setting up cameras, filming multiple takes, editing, and doing thumbnails all by yourself its one hell of a job.

And then it's not even guaranteed that you'll reach that tipping point and go viral.

  3. Yep i've had it for a while. But I only notice it when I go to bed. Likely from not wearing appropriate hearing protection as a musician for a few years.

I've heard that some forms of tinnitus can be cured through diet change. A few people on carnivore have reported significant reductions in tinnitus as a result of cutting out certain foods.

What are your thoughts relative to 2D art and illustration as a career relative to AI?

So I'm currently a professional editorial illustrator.

    A few thoughts to consider:

    1) I've found the marketing for most of these AI tools to be really deceitful and misleading. Whats shown in the marketing material is basically unachievable for the average user. There are so many AI image tools now, with super flashy demonstrations. But when you go to use it, its absolute dog shit. Even a well-established platform like Midjourney is very overhyped.

    2) As Leo has mentioned, using AI tool for making images is a lot harder than people think. It's not going to produce what you have in mind. I've used Midjourney quite a lot, in the past and recently. It can be very difficult to get it to produce what you want. I was trying to create an image recently specifically with a man and woman in the image, no matter what combination of prompts I used it simple didn't do it. And that's just a basic compositional element. Think about the kind of art thats required for a game dev or a big professional advertising project - no chance.

    3) Which leads me into my main contention with AI image platforms. What people don't understand is that technical proficiency != functional value or usefulness.

Just because we can see amazing AI art, amazing concept art, AI illustrations, whatever it is - doesn't mean that it can be used in a real project! Or at least a more complex project like a game development. You have to start with the brief, then use the AI platform to create the image, rather than start with the awesome looking AI art and imagine that in some sort of fictional creative project. Just doesn't work that way.

Obviously there are use cases for AI art, it's not totally useless, but generally speaking, it's not able to be used in complex, real-world professional projects.

AI image generators can produce technically proficient work but NOT work that successful fulfils a creative need or problem. Purely because of the nature of the technology.

You would have to explicate every single detail and nuance to the AI in order for it deliver useful/functional art work - and of course no one is gonna do that. It's not even possible to do that.

  5. I recognise that the jungle is one of few legal places to do ayahuasca, but I can't think of a worse environment to do psychedelics. You're away from home, you're exhausted from travelling, it's hot, humid and sticky, if not pouring down with rain. You're there with a bunch of strangers, in a foreign country. Mosquitos, god knows what else. Actually awful.

There's this tendency for people to romanticise the jungle psychedelic experience. There's this whole imaginary 'space' or set of feelings and ideas that are added onto the psychedelic experience. All of which are totally unnecessary of course.

I realised God lying down on my bed at home. Then 45 minutes later I was hanging the washing up.

  6. Group retreats are a waste in my opinion. I've done 5 group retreats and every time being around so many other people is just a major distraction and annoyance. People coughing, farting and making annoying noises.

The ideal situation is to rent an Airbnb and do a solo retreat. The downside is that costs a lot. You can do home retreats but it requires a lot of discipline to not distract yourself with the usual home distractions.

  7. Honestly i've had periods where I crash at 3pm every single day and then long periods where my energy is completely stable throughout the day and I don't need to nap. I'm still quite uncertain as to what causes it, despite a ton a research.

Some people say its too many carbs at lunch, some say it's about sleep, other say it's vitamin deficiencies.

Generally speaking, when I get a really good nights sleep I don't crash on the afternoon.

If I do a big work out in the morning, eat too much at lunch and don't sleep well then I tend to crash.

  8. @oldhandle

4 hours a day on top of everything else is extremely difficult - for anyone. We only have so much energy and mental focus available each day.

There are no rules here so don't feel like you have to do a certain amount of time each day. 1 or 2 hours of focused work is often more than enough.

But generally you want to do a minium of amount of work each day so that you don't have decision fatigue. You don't want to be thinking, 'should i do some LP work today or not". Remove that decision process by just committing to a minimum 1 hour a day, or whatever you feel is appropriate.

1-2 hours a day consistently over a long period of time can produce big results. It's just about consistently showing up and slowly moving forward.

Try your best to not fall into laziness and procrastination. And occasionally it can be useful to think 'how much work am I actually capable of doing'. How much work can your mind actually handle if you just kept working? I've recently been trying to push myself beyond that point of "I'm tired now, I want to stop and do something else". But don't do this all the time or you'll just burn out.

  9. @Danioover9000 I kinda have a love-hate relationship with Destiny at this point. He's a great entertainer and I do enjoy a lot of his more casual conversations. But he's also extremely stubborn and a staunch materialist atheist. Any time anyone brings up anything vaguely spiritual it's instantly dismissed and laughed at.

He himself has had a few ego-dissolution experiences with psyches, but still denys any mystical component to them. "It's all in the brain", "It's just chemicals".

I also have big problems with the way that he constantly belittles his fan base for essentially being virgin nerds, whilst he brings a new 21-year-old girl over to this flat every week. He demonises all the red pill stuff, which is deserved of course, but then doesn't provide *any* solutions for his sexually frustrated fan base of 25-30 year old men. And then, as I said, continues to belittle them constantly.

But saying all that, Destiny obviously has a lot of intelligent progressive takes, particularly with politics etc. I'll probably watch this debate at some point.

To topic: An update would be too early I think. Let Leo rest a year or two and let's see. He will recover for sure one time. His whole projects and ideas don't vanish. They are just on hold.

If I would be in Leos position, focusing on my own well being and health would be top priority.

Yea totally understandable. There's a reason I've barely been on the forum in the past year or two.

Also why I didn't say 'make more videos' in my post.

before you ask for more have you deeply understood all the previous topics? Or are you looking for entertainment

Dude I started watching Leo's videos and joined the forum in 2016.

I've not only watched many videos multiple times, but I've also done the high-dose 5-MeO in the way that Leo talks about. I've done the work. So i'd argue I understand Leo's content better than 99% of the people here.

This isn't about entertainment. I've got enough of that. It's more that Leo does research and experimentation that most of us don't have time to do. I've got my own projects, bills to pay, life stuff to figure out. I'm just interested in his perspective about stuff.

what else is there to do here? it's pretty much the big brain thing to do while he has his other side stuff, if he wants to pursue them

Well yea thats what I'm interested in - the other side stuff. Leo ain't just sitting around doing nothing - I guarantee it.

  12. @Leo Gura

Don't know if others have asked this before so apologies for repeated questions if so.

Leo what are you up to these days? I know you burnt out and wanted to stop making videos, but what's on the horizon for you and Actualized.org?

Are you starting a new business? Still writing that book? Still considering live events? Focusing mostly on cold-approach stuff? I was always inspired by your capacity to set goals and create a vision for yourself, but I don't see you writing/talking about that anywhere.

There's a part of me that feels like you just suddenly cut everything short. You were really taking the videos, your thinking and ideas to the next level and then suddenly just dropped it all, aside from your occasional interactions on the forum. Atleast that's how it feels from our perspective as an audience.

I think we're all very curious as to what you're thinking about these days in terms of spirituality, psychedelics and understanding of reality as a whole. What new insights have you had? Surely it hasn't just stagnated?

    Anyway, hope all is well.

@Leo Gura, @Carl-Richard, @Space and other mods, and also users here, your opinions on this video?

IMO, I thought about this, but I consider it probably a better USA strategy, since they're allies with Israel, why don't they get directly involved in this conflict? Why don't Biden send some USA military units and establish a base near Gaza/West Bank, to both signal officially a coalition between them and Israel, but in secret a military presence in Gaza/West Bank would force IDF to limit their bombing attacks on buildings? I think the 'prime directive' here from USA should have been put aside and they should have been more involved militarily, at least to both check and control IDF aggression, but also to help preserve social infrastructure for Palestine?

Honestly I don't really pay attention to current affairs and politics. Not that you or anyone else shouldn't, but I choose to focus on other things. So I don't have anything interesting to say about this video or the war in general.

Too much to do, not enough time.

No, don't be silent. Become highly expressively. This is how you develop charisma. Stop holding back your speech and stop running everything through a logic filter. Be more spontaneous. Sometimes you will say stupid things but it doesn't matter. Develop the skill to think out loud.

Some deep part of my being needed to read that.

@Leo Gura The problem with all this UFO business imo is that we assume the aliens are trying to hide from us and they don’t want us to catch them. At least that’s how it seems from my perspective.

But why would the aliens want to do that? Are they afraid of us? Are they afraid of disturbing us? Is there some sort of Harry Potter thing going on where they can’t disturb the muggle world? Why do we assume that they are capable of fear?

Because humans are selfish and violent. If an alien craft goes anywhere near a populated space it will be instantly shot down. As much as we all want some sci-fi scenario of alien communication, we really don't want that. Humans will panic, scream and fight off any sort of alien encounter. Just look at the videos from the recent Peruvian jungle cases. Self-survival takes over.

If the NHI are capable of visiting earth they are certainly intelligent enough to know not to interfere with humans, at least large numbers of humans in populated areas.

Of course some of the NHI's do want to communicate with us, and that it was the abduction phenomenon is. But they always take people when they alone or with 1 or 2 other people.

Communicating with NHI's is not going to look like some sci-fi movie.

This guys says there's a UFO housed in Las Vegas.

I've been patiently and carefully following Grusch ever since the congressional hearing, so it was exciting to see him on Rogan's podcast.

In fact it was Grusch and the congressional hearings that made me properly dive into many of the UAP cases.

I went through a significant shift over the course of a few days where my entire worldview moved from UFOs do not exist and Aliens are not here, to one where UAPs are real and that at least some of these are definitely NHI's. There are just too many first-hand witness accounts of obviously non-human craft.

It's amazing really. Utterly mindblowing that this is happening.

I posted this video (below) a while back but no one saw it so I'll try again here. IMO this is *the* most significant UAP event happening currently, or at least in recent months. @Leo Gura and anyone else I'd be interested in your thoughts.

  17. Not sure if this has been discussed yet on the forum as the search function isn't working for me.

But if you're not familiar there have been ongoing alien sightings and supposed attacks and abduction attempts in the Peruvian jungle. There are numerous interviews of locals online, many giving very convincing accounts.

They report seeing alien beings hovering around, flying down into the jungle using what seems to be non-human tech. They're resistant to bullets and can have reportedly stunned and knocked people unconscious with some sort of laser or light weapon. This is a brief summary of the reports, feel free to google around.

I'm not saying I'm totally convinced about the sightings, but based on the reports from locals, there is simply no rational explanation. Very strange, at the least.

Anyway, two Americans, one of which is fairly well known within the UFO community I believe, travelled to the location of the sightings with the intention of doing much more thorough investigations, interviews and hopefully seeing the beings themselves. They have just finished their expedition and we're currently waiting for their findings in the coming days and weeks.

  18. @Emotionalmosquito I must admit, I have found myself feeling bitter and resentful towards women because of the amount of suffering required just for a few average dates. Endless approaches. Endless face-to-face rejection. Near panic attacks before going out on 'approach sessions'. I've grown bitter.

Its so easy to succumb to those feelings. It feels fucking good to be resentful, to feel like you're claiming back your powerlessness. Which is what it all is. It's a projection of powerlessness.

Mindfulness and self-reflection is hard. But I like to think I've developed that enough to let the toxic side of me fall away. Leo has been a positive role model + lots of meditative practise of course.
