@TheAvatarState You can’t lead your heart. Your heart leads you.
Your heart will never have ‘something to do.’ There’s nothing to do. Your heart lives in a spontaneous ‘yes/no’ mode. The only time you will help somebody is when that person specifically asked for your help. Otherwise you just live your life following its instructions.

After I took the Life Purpose course, it became conclusive to me that Life Purpose and Enlightenment will not go together. Here’s why:
Life Purpose is about driving yourself to make an impact in the world. But this can only work if you are stuck in the illusion of control. In reality, you have no control whatsoever. As soon as you realise this (Enlightenment), driving yourself is no longer a possibility. As soon as you become aware of non-doership, you can no longer drive yourself to do anything, because you have no control over anything at all.
So, how does the enlightened person live then?
They follow their integrity/heart. Spontaneous movement happens based on what the heart desires. For most people, it is impossible, because it is blocked by all of your fears. As soon as you clear your fears, you can just spontaneously follow your integrity. You become a slave of your integrity. Wherever your integrity tells you to go, you go.
So this brings us to why Life Purpose and Enlightenment really do not go together:
The notion that other people need your help is a false belief. When you set off for your Life Purpose, you do things based on the belief that you are doing good in the world, you are helping others. But notice that this is a belief with no evidence at all. Reality is already perfect. Your heart will not tell you to do anything so baseless. You will just live your life moment to moment.
So now you ask: Enlightened teachers are out there changing the world. I can see them.
Yes, you are right. Many enlightened teachers have written books and do workshops. But how they arrived there is very different to what you imagine.
One basic principle of how your heart works is out of love. It follows love. What does that mean?
If somebody asks you for help, you operate on the principle ‘why not?’. If there is no legitimate reason against it, you say ‘yes.’ Whatever people ask, your heart says ‘yes’ if you can do it. If people ask for a workshop, you do it. If people ask you to write a book, you write it. And that is how your integrity operates. You help people only when they ask for help. That’s it.
If somebody did not ask for your help, then the only thing that would drive you to help such a person is a baseless belief that they need your help, which your integrity will never buy. Even if the person seems to need your help, the most that your integrity would tell you to do is ask that person if you can help them. If they say no, that’s the end of it. Even if they are starving in the streets, once they say no you leave. They are doing fine.
Your heart will say ‘no’ if there is a legitimate reason why not. And that’s when you say no. You live your life as a flow, not decideding and controlling anything, but being a servant to your heart and giving when people ask. Driving yourself to do something and ‘making an impact’ is not possible. Because you can clearly see that everything is perfect other than your beliefs.

@ivory Well, she should call herself something else. She’s ruining the image of zen.
Zen teachers who have never done zen. I see women these days teaching all sorts of meditation that they have never practiced in their entire lives.
It’s best not to look up to such people.
-
@Leo Gura I see these days you’ve regressed back to YELLOW. What happened to TURQUOISE? In TURQUOISE level, the world is never a mess.
I heard a lot of spiritual teachers saying that they wouldn’t fight back to some army that invades their country, because all the bad stuff they think will happen as a result is just a story of the mind, and not true. How is it possible to fight back to some army peacefully? I can’t see how.
-
@molosku Wrong! I myself am quite aware spirituality, and from my direct experience, I can tell you that there is no brain whatsoever. Nothing about it is true. Nothing!

There is no such thing as the brain in the Absolute sense. But a donkey cannot have an insight about the tru nature of existence. Likewise an autistic person may not have the hardware to have an insight about the true nature of love.
“A donkey cannot have an insight about the true nature of existence” is not true. Again, you are talking from YELLOW, not TURQUOISE. No wonder TURQUOISE science will be amazing. Any conclusions drawn from modern science, no matter how obviously seeming it is, will be dismissed. The possibilities will seem endless.
Are you saying that one can have the experience of love without any such concept at all. In a no-mind state?
-
@Leo Gura Sadhguru also says that love is just “a sweetness of emotion.”
And plus, talking about a brain is also quite delusional. Didn’t you say in the past that there is no such thing as a brain in reality. Aren’t you just mixing TURQUOISE with delusional YELLOW.

@Yousef change requires time. Can you not see that?
A video is just a large set of pictures, set in time. In the now, there is only a picture. That is a good anecdote.
-
@Yousef It doesn’t change. At every moment, whatever you’re seeing is it. Everything else is an idea. What it was a second ago is now just an idea. It doesn’t change as long as you don’t believe your thoughts.
-
@Freyah I doubt most people would be able to handle that. The mind will resist. The friction between the mind and (virtual) reality will break most people.
-
@Yousef infinite forms is an idea. External reality always has one form only: the form that you’re seeing right now.
-
@Arhattobe I’ve been doing The Work for 9 months. And it was only very recently I noticed how far along the path I went. I didn’t notice any change, but I saw that all of a sudden people could not understand very simple non-dual ideas that are obscenely obvious to me now. I’m very aware of the nature of time, especially. Permanent awareness that is.
-
Wrong thread. This is the spirituality thread.
-
@Rilles The way that I see things, reality is finite. There is only the now. The past and future are actually just images in our heads. And right now, without any thoughts, there is nothing. What I can say for sure is that the ‘idea’ of infinity is wrong. When you think about infinity, whatever comes to your head is wrong. The true infinity is nothing. That is what I have direct experience of right now.

@Leo Gura You mentioned that with programming skills, we can start our own business. How do we do this?
The reason is that I have my life purpose in mind, but it will take around 5-10 years of study and skill building to achieve. In the meantime, I would like to have the time and freedom to actually gain skill in my life purpose. That’s why I’m interested in the programming business.
I’m currently in college, but I hate my degree and would like to start a business ASAP. Any tips?

@Charlotte I notice that many of your posts are just too kind. I’m wondering if this is due to some people-pleasing mentality that you got used to. Are you really being yourself when you write sweet posts? Or are you subconsciously seeking other people to love you?
I was thinking about this, because usually people have a stage red repertoire we’re they just like to express themselves, regardless of what other people might think. It’s perfectly normal. I just don’t see it within you.
Are you already aware that you have a people-pleasing mentality?
-
You seem to be one troubled young woman...
-
@Leo Gura But doesn’t ‘wanting’ something mean that you want it so you can be happy. That’s basically why people would want something.
Also, if I change ‘happiness’ to ‘love’, would that still not be true.
I just don’t understand why you would pursue the truth even if it makes you miserable.
-
@Leo Gura Can you explain why truth is higher than happiness? I don’t understand that.
-
@Charlotte Radical Islam is RED/blue, whilst general Muslims are red/BLUE or BLUE. In western countries they’re usually BLUE/orange. Muslim youngsters in western countries are blue/ORANGE.
-
I agree with @stevegan928 . If I ask you why you want the truth, surely it will come down to wanting fulfilment of that desire. Which is basically happiness.
Truth for truth’s sake doesn’t make much sense to me.

Don't forget that a nation is a vast system where there are all kinds of people of different stages of development... Red,Blue,Orange,Green,Yellow, Turquoise... That's why India is called a diversity. It has so many varieties that the west can't understand.
And if you want to really learn from experience then watching YouTube videos and reading books are not enough.. you need to go to a spiritual guru in India who are still in the disciplic tradition. If the west could really learn everything like university professors then the purpose of disciplic traditions would mean nothing... Have you ever read the Bhagavad-Gita As It Is? You may understand everything intellectually but without the guidance of a pure devotee of Lord Sri Krishna, you won't get very far let alone devotional service.
No thanks.

@Seed New Age is stage green. Most of them are not as open as you think. They’re buttons are very easily pushed. This is easy to see if you’ve watched Louis Theroux’s Altered States where he offended and triggered many stage green ‘new agers’ simply by asking them a few questions.

@cetus56 I’m not enlightened yet.
Once I am, I’m out of here.
