  1. your most effective method for 'not believing the mind'
Your most effective method for 'not believing the mind'
Share your top of the list most effective method for 'not believing the mind'
(I believe) this is one of the most important Spiritual rituals to master, and yet one of the hardest tools to master.
    What worked best for you?
How exactly did you do it?

  2. no mind
Holy sh*t there is no mind...
There is no mind... Neither are there any thoughts... What the hell...?
Damn, Leo wasn't kidding when he said that we're completely oblivious to our self-deceptions.
    Wow. What a trickster, what a non-illusion.
    No-mind was "hiding" behind itself...
Can't wait to explore this a little more. Though there's really nothing to explore, but let's play pretend?

  3. relationship
How to stop wanting a relationship?
How do I stop wanting a relationship? I have serious issues with loving myself. I go as far as hating myself. I keep trying to rely on someone else to love me. Someone else to think I’m beautiful to satisfy my self-image. That is why I want a relationship. I believe loving myself would be the first step to solve this but I am trying so hard to open my mind to it. Idk what to do. I’ve been trying for a long time. I’ve meditated and realized I need to stop identifying myself with what I do. Anything bad or even good that I do should not be labeled as myself. Putting that into the way I think is different. Accepting myself is so difficult. Is there anything else I should be doing?

  4. root of suffering is not desire
The root of suffering IS not desire
Desire is the source of suffering, because anything that can be desired will never deliver enduring happiness. We chase after transience, as if it it has the power to make us whole. It is insane to seek permanence in the impermanent. Consciousness is the end of suffering, because it is infinitely and always abundant.

  5. life,leos response
    Question for Leo
I wouldn't hope on life getting easier. If you are growing properly, life will always present you with greater and greater challenges.
Life becomes less dysfunctional though, and less about raw survival and the associated negative emotions.
If you become financially independent and secure thanks to your LP, that does take a huge survival load off your shoulders. But life can still be hard. 2020 was one of the hardest years of my life thanks to unforeseen health problems. No amount of success or money or even spiritual work will save you when you have the right kind of health problem.
Generally speaking though, life is a hamster running endlessly in a wheel until it dies of exhaustion. You are the hamster, and no matter how much success you achieve you ultimately get nowhere. Because there's nowhere else to be. This is one of the biggest things spirituality teaches you. Be. Here. Now. This. Is. It.
If you can't be happy now, you never will be.

How to fall in love without losing yourself?
Cause they got nothing else to do.
    Of course.
The only reason to be in a relationship with anyone or anything is to fulfill something you lack.
Think about it. Why else would you relate to anything? If you relate to anything, it is giving you some payoff.
Which is why the wisest sages live alone in a cave. They need nothing but God. But of course living alone in a cave is boring as fuck.

  7. relationship leo- fall in love
How to fall in love without losing yourself?
It's like you bought a dog and are now asking, "But how do I get it to stop eating?"
    That's never gonna happen.
The entire function of this relationship (why you want it at all) is to fill a hole in your life. So of course if this relationship should ever end (and it always does), you will suffer. The better the relationship, the more its end will hurt you.
When you sign up for an intimate relationship it is like you are strapping yourself into a rollercoaster.
That's what a relationship is. And that's what you want it to be, too. You want that thrill and drama. You get off on it.

  8. fall in love
How to fall in love without losing yourself?
I'm interested in figuring out how one can fall in love in a romantic relationship, establish a deep intimate connection with all the vulnerability that's required from that, and not suffer from the neediness or emotional attachment that may result from that?
I'm asking because I've recently been into a relationship that was very loving and nurturing for a few years, only for it to end with me getting very emotionally attached and the immense amount of pain that comes from that. I think it was a growing experience, but it also seemed like the more vulnerable you allow yourself to be with someone to create a genuine loving connection, the more you set yourself for actually sabotaging the relationship or just experiencing a terrible heatbreak because life had a different say in the matter.
Any thoughts or videos are appreciates (:

  9. gf
    Is she a wrong girlfriend?
@Leo Gura I've know this Girl through Tumblr and she lives a bit far a way from me . I'm in university and she's finishing school in the next year. Her family is pretty unfunctional. It has taken affect on her and she has psychological conditions, but it's getting better. I'm just trying to help her with that and I want to the the uplifting part in our relationship cause I love her. I just wonder if should break up with her. .

  10. most of u guys want a relationship
Rant: Most of y’all (guys) only want a relationship due to scarcity mindset
I just think it is funny that we’re here because we are self actualizing and getting away from ideological thinking yet I see so many guys here either desperately wanting one or under the impression that it something truly special and a key to actualization.
Look, if you want a relationship because you have dated a long time, are tired of all the b.s that comes with dating and have met a woman who you genuinely like and are highly attracted too and she is feminine, is highly sexual, does not give you shit and cooperates, that’s great.  The thing is, most of y’all just want a relationship due to a scarcity mindset because you are not getting laid, you are lonely and you are bored.  You believe that a relationship will fulfill you.
    It will not.
Relationships (this goes for women too) will not make you happy.  In fact it will probably do the opposite.  You guys have parents who have been married for years.  When was the last time you saw them act lovey dovey?  But you see them arguing all the time.
You know why guys like Drake and Leonardo DiCaprio don’t settle down?  It is not because they are lower conscious people.  It is because they have such a high abundance mindset that  they do not need a relationship.  And when they do have one of the woman gives them too much shit, they leave.
If you guys could go out and get the women you truly desire and date three to five women at once I guarantee you that you would not even think about a relationship.  Why?  Because you would automatically have an abundance mindset.  But instead you settle for decent looking women and mediocre relationships that drive you crazy.
But forget about women.  Let’s be honest, women (people in general) are not that special.  The majority of people are just out for themselves and a woman will drop you in cold blood if it suits her.  Women are just a cover for how you feel about yourself.  How you feel a sense of lack.  How you feel like you are not enough.  Your lack of confidence.  Your lack of self worth.  How you cannot even enjoy your own company.
So the next time you are like “I need a relationship” why don’t you try to figure out what is really going on?  You will probably discover that you feel empty and that a relationship will not fill up this emptiness.

  11. relation
Is it even worth getting a girlfriend?
I would not necessarily say that I believe that I am better off without them.  But, when I went to this acting school for one year they were very much into relationships at that school and I had a female teacher try to force her values onto me.  Before that point I just did not care scoot relationships.
But the biggest thing is that I see the same thing over and over again.  People thinking that a relationship is going to give them something.  That is not even the “correct“ way to go about them.  Most people believe that there is something there that there is not.  The divorce in the u.s plus countless of relationships that a toxic prove that.
As a guy it is important to not be attached to any woman (that is another thing that is wrong with relationships, two people get attached and say that they are in love) and to know what is out there.  I have dated shy women, intellectual women, artistic women, business/type A women, icy women, and etc.  That is a lot of valuable reference points.  A lot of ups and downs.  Taught me more than say I had been in a five year committed relationship.
As far as finding someone that you resonate with, I mean yeah, logically you would want to turn that into a relationship.  But sometimes even that will go to hell.

I will say that a truly high value make is not seeking a relationship as they have only high quality women in their lives to begin with.

@F A B What I am saying really is not that different from Buddhism.  I’m just being more blunt with it.  Buddhism says that relationships leave to suffering.  Check it out.

And what I am saying is far more true than what most people expect a relationship to be.

  12. masturbating
    How can I stop masturbating
    Hello,
I am interested in stopping porn and masturbation for good. The problem is when I don't masturbate the urge to have sex becomes so strong that I can't think straight, I can't work on my business, I can't concentrate all I feel is I want to have sex. If I don't masturbate it gets stronger and stronger. The longest I've gone without masturbation is around 18 days and it was hell. I don't believe in NOFAP through willpower. I have heard that Taoists and Yogis have ways to deal with their sexual desires and that is what I am interested in. I believe semen has potential and that simply wasting it in the trash bin is a form of ignorance that I want to correct. In fact even watching porn in my opinion is a waste of time. I don't currently have a girlfriend so I would like to switch off the need for sex while I am not in a relationship and turn it on back again when there is a possibility for procreation. I know there are people who've done NOFAP for a very long time, but I also know that this is a whole identity for them and they are exercising willpower all the time to maintain this record so for me this is not a fulfilling way of life. Are there any solutions to this?

  13. ego is seperation
    The ego is separation
"The solution is not to fight for peace or conquer nature, but to simply recognize the truth; that the very existence of the ego structure creates duality, a split between self and other, mine and yours, man and nature, inner and outer. The ego is violence; it requires a barrier, a boundary from the other in order to be. Without ego there is no war against anything. There is no hubris, there is no overreaching nature to create profit. These external crises in our world reflect a serious inner crises; we don’t know who we are. We are completely identified with our egoic identities, consumed by fears and are cut off from our true nature. Races, religions, countries, political affiliations, any group that we belong to, all reinforce our egoic identities.
Almost every group that exists on the planet today wants to claim its perspective as true and correct, as we do on an individual level. By claiming the truth as its own, the group perpetuates its own existence in the same way that an ego or self structure defines itself against other".
-- Samadhi (Maya illusion of the self)

  14. ego
    Questioning my awakenings
If I had so much awakenings, why my ego still tries to maintain a personal character?
If I had so much spiritual realizations, why my ego still usually falls into the same patters of the fake character?
If I had realized so much times that I am not the thoughts, why 99% of the time I keep believing certain thoughts that resonate with certain character/Idea of myself?
How come If I have realized I am not the ficitonal character, still there´s an enormous amount of energy still concentrated to keep this character alive (I am not meaning the body, but the concept of ME)
Brain chemistry maybe? But truth is truth. How come the ego doesn´t let go still? Any advice?

  15. non dual states
    How I Induce Non-Dual States
Hi Friends, I wanted to share a technique I have been using during my walking meditations to induce non-dual awareness.
To understand the technique, first we need to understand how perception works. The absolute truth is that YOU have never gone anywhere in your entire life. Physicality itself is an illusion. What you truly are is pure MIND. You are imagining everything you "see".
You can think of reality as a VR game created by Infinity to play with itself.
If done right, this technique can attain a state of non-dual awareness that is incredibly amazing to experience.
    [Attached Graphic Explains It]
    Technique:
Go out for a walk, preferably somewhere in nature that has trees or other "large" objects. As you walk, realize that it's not you that is moving, it's the world. Focus your attention on a distant object, maybe a tree. Keep walking, now realize that you cannot see your own head / face. Instead you "see" the world. As you keep walking and approaching the object you were focused on, realize that you may think that your feet are moving your body, and that you are approaching the tree, but in reality, the entire visual field is configuring/recalibrating/moving around you, MIND. Notice how you are at the center of reality. Think of yourself as the rock bottom, never-changing, static screen upon which the world is appearing. Matter is simply sluggish mind. You are mind. God is mind. Everything is mind. You are going nowhere. At all. The world is going to you. If you achieve this, your awareness will suddenly shift, and you will experience the entire scene taking itself in, as opposed to you looking onto the world like a camera behind you eyes. Suddenly, the object/subject relation will completely flatten. This state can last for a few minutes, but if you practice long enough, you can sustain this non-dual state for much longer. You can try this anywhere. Grocery store, driving, etc.
There is no space, there is no time, it's one massive illusion — a trick God plays on itself to feel connected.
Let me know if you try it and if it works for you!
Would love your input @Leo Gura

  16. obstacles
Why life create obstacles In our life?
Life gives us obstacles as an opportunity for realization and growth. Obstacles are not a problem. They only become a problem when we resist them. All obstacles conflate to a single question:
Do you accept the isness of the present moment, or do you suffer as a result of refusing to accept it?
Once you learn to live in the Now , obstacles will no longer seem insurmountable. You will navigate them with intelligence and grace.

  17. no self no beliefs
    No self = no beliefs?
Can there be beliefs without a self? Can things be unconciously assumed if there is no "me" that is assuming them?
I once was in a state of no-self. Then a couple of weeks later I found a huge dysfunctional belief I was holding. This sparked the idea of a "me that has beliefs" and I haven't really realized no-self again since then.
Now I care about what beliefs I hold, I'm searching for beliefs and I'm generally blame my unhappiness on the idea that I still hold dysfunctional beliefs or that I struggle to let them go somehow. I want to stop doing that but it's hard to let go of the idea that there are beliefs when I directly experienced beliefs. Perhaps there are beliefs without a self but then who is holding them?

  18. anger
How does anger ruin your life?
Anger is classed as a negative emotion and anyone can say instantly that its  not  a pleasant emotion to feel, but they wouldnt't contiue to feel it if they didnt think the emotion had uses for their life. I feel if the individual became deeply conscious of how it ruins their life they would take steps to cease doing it. I can't put into words myself the devestating effects because i can't see all the things it effects.

  19. Buddhism and relationships
    Buddhism and relationships
Last night I revisited some videos by this monk.  I like how he speaks about relationships.  How there is no logical reason to be in one, how we all have bad in us (shadow self) and monks have found out that it is better to not bother with them.  That we have been sold a lie about getting love from other people and that fulfilling us and things like that.  Though he does say how it is more about your reaction to the relationship than the relationship itself and if you are in one, to be conscious.

It’s interesting.  My parents never hammered in the idea of getting into relationships when I was growing up.  In middle school and high school I would only get into relationships because I thought that was the only logical move.  After a break up and a bad first date when I was 20 I went into pick up and did that for two years, had some fun and learned a ton.  After that I have been more into my career and just have dated/hooked up when I can.  I got into a long distance tho g once, but I was not into it.  Then I tried to get into something more serious again and got entangled with a straight narcissist and another woman who was at least narcissistic.  Both had that twin flame energy to them, so makes sense as I have changed a ton since dealing with them.

When I got away from the last one, a trip on shrooms and month later I began to feel happy again.  I realized that I am happier without those women in my life than I am with them.  While I have become more active with online dating (sexual desire is a bitch) I have already laid out that I only am looking for hook ups and short term non monogamous dating at best.

I guess I want to know for guys who are still looking to get into relationships, why?  What do you expect to get out of them?  It seems like the only legit reasons for a guy to get into a relationship is sex, domestic needs met or kids when they get into relationships.  My big aversion to getting into relationships or even serious dating again are the constant games and shit tests that women play.  Add that in with emotional attachment and it can become a narcissistic/codependent thing so quickly.

  20. sedona method, breakup
    Dealing with heartbreak
The Sedona Method is a good way of dealing with heartbreak:

  21. Alcohol
    Alcohol
Is there anyone on here that has stopped drinking altogether? I drink heavily once a week. I did last night after telling myself I'd kick the habit. Couldn't resist. My friends all drink heavy on a weekend and I can't say no! I want to be healthy, and productive every day and this is getting in the way! I need some advice from some good people.

  22. Reality is a dream
Reality is a dream, isnt it?
Reality is literally a dream. Like wtf... I awlyas tought its so real and serious.
I realised that while I closed my eyes and dreamed so to speak and then opened them again. And saw no difference. Now I wonder how much power I have over this dream and whats the  best thing to do now to awaken the human mind to oneness...
    Namaste

  23. Loa
How many of you actually practice law of attraction?
I have just always thought it was interesting how a good bit of people seem to be connected to the universe, but never become a conscious creator.  Never ever become good manifestos.

I have been working with the law of attraction for the last five years.  Truth be told, I was very hit and miss.  I say that it wasn’t until 2018 when I truly understood it and not until the pandemic when I began to be more consistent with it.  I have studied a few teachers, but Richard Dotts’ books have been the most helpful.  How to quit worrying and stop living has been the most helpful for manifesting money (Richard Dotts highly recommends this book) and it is not even about manifesting money.
Basically: You have to drop all negativity
You have to have a high vibration
    You have to set intentions
You have to release all resistance before taking action
Any action that you do take has to be inspired action
You have to maintain a state of peace
You have to let go and be perfectly happy without or without your desire manifesting.  This is critical.

If you are able to do this, then you will be in alignment with your desires and the universe will align people, places and things to bring these intentions to fruition.  This is because your actions are now backed by universal energy.

It is amazing when this works, it feels like magic.

When it all boils down to it, we are manifesting every minute of our lives.  How many of you are working with universal energy?

  24. Enlight 2
    I'm waking up!
    A classical one.
See the trick is what is "consciousness"?  If you define consciousness as sight sound touch smell etc.. That's definitely will be absent. Just like in deep sleep.   But the problem is we identify ourselves with these temporary appearances when we are actually  the ever-present emptiness that contains everything inside of it.
So you wake up in the morning.. Sight sound touch smell.. A body and a world appear.. They  appear inside of what ???   Inside of awareness.. For if there wasn't An awareness that is prior to these appearances.. Where else can they appear "within"???   .. Ok so in deep sleep there isnt even awareness.. That's right.. Deep sleep is the sate of nothingness.. That's your real nature.. That's who you really are.. That's the only thing that doesn't come and go.. Ever-present.. Therefore the most real state of being is the state of nothing.. The most fundamental state of being is the state of nothing .... And" within" this nothing appears awareness.. And within this awareness appears all sorts of dreams... The waking dream and the sleeping dreams. Are just temporary appearances within the ever - present nothingness.
    Very helpful.

  25. Enlightenment
    I'm waking up!
@Mikael89 enlightenment is always here and now.   But it's a matter of are you conscious of it or not.    Mostly it's the mind and egoic endeavors that is veiling it.   Because the mind thinks there is something to get or somewhere to go.. That something is lacking somehow.. That something is wrong somewhere..that I'm not good enough.. That this moment is not perfect yet enough .. Etc.  Once you calm your mind and become the present moment you are "there" my friend.. As you already are.
