  2. @SeaMonster what do you mean by polarity?
  3. Can it print books? Someone invent a method to do that.
  4. What would the achievement of AGI look like?
  5. @Yimpa I'm not working until that episode comes out.
  6. Is attachment a function of identification? Does one become attached to whatever one identifies with? Why does the need for attachment exist?

  8. Some of the downsides of technology. Socrates criticized the invention of writing, thinking that it'd stifle people's memory. You can of course find upsides to any tech as well.

  11. @AerisVahnEphelia Didn't claim to be. If I pointed a gun at you, you'd have to concede that you're self-deceived, likely conflating concepts with direct understanding. Do not try to lie your way into the truth. Not being conscious of one's nature (enlightened) is OK. If you've had one or a few enlightenment experiences -- not small ifs -- don't rest on your laurels. There's a bunch of stuff to look into. If you do understand everything there is to understand, you'd be in the same "place" as Gautama. Hard to believe that claim is accurate.
  12. You came here to be acknowledged and validated. You might have had an enlightenment experience or two, but you're fooling yourself about your claim. You're likely conflating beliefs with consciousness of truth.
  13. I prefer a grounded approach to personal growth, otherwise it gets too abstract, but fair enough.
  14. Whenever you are fully engaged in something, there's no resistance. This increases vitality.
  15. You assume that enlightenment changes or has to change, something, which it may not. Where else do you expect to act from? Action occurs mainly through a body. This is a relative concern.
  16. Of course you fear death. You are talking about an idea or something other than the reality of it. You just should throw your conclusions away and look into what things are regardless of opinions.
  17. Experiment this year: live with no excuses or self-justification.
  18. That sense might be based on the recognition that what you've got is just conceptual, not existentially "real" -- in other words, you do not experience the truth, but as much everyone else, we pretend that our concepts are real -- reality. If you're serious about this work, you eventually confront this reality and, as a resul, might struggle because of it. Move towards experiencing things authentically; have insights, contemplate. You can start with this sense. For example, what's the payoff you get for thinking this way? You can see how a lack of meaning being taken as a negative itself has meaning for you, a negative one. You may benefit from listening to The Trap of The Toxic Life Purpose.
  19. May be about two opposing forces fighting (competing) for one exclusive result or outcome. Competition is a basic aspect in business, games, sports, politics, and non-partnership relationships.
