@Leo Gura Is he even that bad looking? He’s no Brad Pitt but he’s not terrible. Can’t imagine it being such a deal breaker considering his confidence, status and money.
That John Anthony guy said his lay count was only 50, which is actually very low for someone who’s devoted his life to getting laid. -
Here’s a good video on the evidence of tolerance build up. Seems like there’s a dogma out there against stimulant medication

@Leo Gura I feel like woke has actually diverged in a lot of ways to hippie culture. Hippies like RFK are anti vax wheras woke people are staunchly pro vax

4 hours ago, Leo Gura said:That's empty words. Israel wants land more than they want peace.
If that’s true then why’d they give the Sinai back to Egypt in 1979 in exchange for a peace deal?
Regarding the Westbank while there are elements that definitely want the land, they didn’t come into possession of that land until Jordan attacked them in 1967 so they took it from them (Israel warned Jordan not to join the war and we won’t attack them). -
1 hour ago, Leo Gura said:What lead to Oct 7th was the decades-long Israeli policy of settlement and indefinite stalling of any kind of long-term peace deal that recognizes the rights and soveriegnty of Palestinians.
The current government hasn’t been particularly interested in peace. But also, a two state solution was offered in 2000 and rejected by the Palestinians with no counteroffer and Israel got the second intifada instead.
Then they withdraw from Gaza in 2005 and get nothing but rockets from an Islamist group. Of course that’s gonna shift Israel to the right.

13 minutes ago, Raze said:The Israel government is a larger obstacle to peace if we are being honest. Netanyahu openly brags about stopping a two state solution. Prior to Oct 7 Hamas tried to push for political solutions and changed their charter to no longer call for ending Israel. Israel refused to respond to peaceful protests or attempts at political solution because they want to force Gazans to have no option but violence to justify a violent response.
Hamas want to end Israel. What makes you think they’d stop fighting if they were given a state? You’re putting too much stock in a couple of public statements.
Although I agree Likud doesn’t want a two state solution either and they never have. No one is blameless here.
-
@Leo Gura as long as Hamas are in power, peace will never happen? Should they not be removed?

That fear has already caused Russia to attack.
What if Russia would already be in the Baltics or Poland by now, if it weren’t for NATO expansion? The causality could be just as easily reversed

1 hour ago, Leo Gura said:This whole situation is like the most infuriating impossible puzzle. The more you study it, no matter which side you take, no matter how reasonable you are, no matter how nuanced you are, there is no solution.
US/NATO/UN intervention might be the only way. Get Israel to uproot the settlements and basically force a two state solution
-
@Leo Gura It would be useful to know what percentage of the Palestinian population wants a two state solution and what percentage want to wipe out Israel.

2 minutes ago, Leo Gura said:Netanyahu's plan was to have Palesitine as an autonomous region but without a military, because he thinks it would be used to attack Israel. Frankly, this is a valid concern.
What is meant by "give Palestine a state" is simply, give them a military with control over air space. Netanyahu refuses to give them air space control because then they might bomb Israel with planes or invade with tanks.
This does not make Natenyahu some monster. He has a right to worry about what radicals in Palestine might do with a proper military.
Israeli occupation not allowing a Palestinian state with a military etc helps fuel terrorism. However now can they be trusted with the rights of a full state? Becomes a vicious catch 22 that I don’t know how gets solved

24 minutes ago, Leo Gura said:Unless they are planning terror attacks, nothing.
Unfortunately I think Israel is gonna create such a bloodbath in Gaza that we will have terrorist attacks in the US for a decade to come. An overreaction from Israel can easily create a new Osama Bin Laden character who will want to punish the US for supporting Israel's bloodbath.
This is gonna be such a mess for a decade to come.
We finally got out of the war on terror era, and now right back there we are

The debate between Cenk and the Jewish guy was quite good

21 minutes ago, Leo Gura said:I doubt you will find many who support Hamas, what they support is ending Israeli settlement expansion.
I have seen far leftists/Palestinians on Twitter supporting the attacks, justifying anyone within Israel as fair game as they’re all settlers in their mind

35 minutes ago, Leo Gura said:This is such a ridiculus take from Chomsky. The Left is slowly losing their mind.
Brand's politics is as scummy as his womanizing.
Chomsky also recently said in an interview on a British program that Russia is fighting the war more humanely than US in Iraq etc.
Iraq was 100% bullshit, but cmon…

@Leo Gura Have you heard of the Zimbabwe school case in the 90s? That one is pretty wild

@Leo Gura what incentive do these departments have to convert it up in the first place?

15 minutes ago, Leo Gura said:The evidence is simply too overwhemling. The bigger conspiracy is that everyone who reports UFOs is a liar.
That is an interesting point. Dave Grusch must be engaging in a huge conspiracy if he’s full of shit
-
@Leo Gura You seem to be fairly anti conspiracy theories except when it comes to UFOs. Why is that? I find it hard to believe these agencies have kept this secret for 80 years.
-
@Leo Gura Still no actual evidence. These are insanely huge claims, gonna need more than hearsay. I’m open to the possibility, but I don’t see how you can be so confident.
And why the hell are such advanced civilisations crashing? Humans rarely crash let alone something this advanced.

11 minutes ago, Leo Gura said:1) I don't really know if we have a crisis. People took out loans that they ought to repay. Calling this a "crisis" is not quite right. By your logic, why stop at student loans? Why not forgive all loans of all kinds?
2) Congress can pass a law that wipes away all student loans. That's how democracy is supposed to work.
To add to that, college graduates have significantly higher life earnings than non college people

This is pretty interesting. She’s really outgrown the partisan purity politics.

Apple is awesome and people who say otherwise are snobs that are looking for a reason to feel superior
-
@Leo Gura I want the UFO stuff to be real cause it'd be cool, but I find the retrieved craft idea hard to believe. Am I supposed to believe an advanced civilisation that travels on an interstellar level is somehow crashing by accident on earth lol?

@Leo Gura I remember his 2012 era videos he actually comes off as way cooler than he does now. He’s just so over the top and aggressive at this point
