  1. @OBEler Okie dokie. Not everyone suffers from a limited use of vocabulary. Some of us even know the big words and how to use them properly. And learning new ones too! Oh, dear God!
  2. I gave you the answer to that right up front. It's called neuroplasticity. -Or the lack of it. So, exercises that enhance one's neuroplasticity would be the answer. That is if there aren't other underlying factors in question such as the development of plaque on the brain.
  3. @OBEler "Substantial cognitive decline" would be the most accurate description of what you are trying to convey. Rather than stupid or moron. But I thought the topic was more about the elderly and new technology? You don't need to feel sorry for them. From their perspective if they managed to live a healthy, happy life without the need for the latest technology why do they suddenly need it now? *How do you know they're not thinking " If this poor moron was lost and his batteries died in his cell phone he would be screwed".
  4. You were using the word 'stupid'. Now it has magically morphed into 'moron' since Leo used that word. Notice that? Leo- "This is so backwards. 25 year olds are morons. OBEler-"We all will be one day 60 and will be the same slow moron I notice this same mimicry in my 4-year-old grandson too because of how impressionable he is. It's quite endearing watching him develop. You have to watch everything you say around him or he will repeat it.
  5. @OBEler What you are referring to is called 'neuroplasticity' and most, but not all lose it with age. BTW- You wouldn't know some of the stupid shit I hear coming out of the mouths of young folks. If they don't know -they just don't know. They think they know, but they don't.
  6. In the context of 'God' and self- they are gapless. No separation. No distance. For here there is not two.
  7. It's called 'gaslighting' and only the lowest form of human life employs its use. There is no 'greater Truth' in because it is a deception of the lowest form.
  8. @bebotalk When you allow ppl to manipulate you, you become enslaved by them.
  9. Snips and snails and puppy dogs' tails.
  10. @Anonman90 'What is' can only be found in direct experience. Direct experience is the only Truth.
  11. @Inliytened1 I have an extensive collection of seashells. I keep them on every beach.
  12. To watch one sunset with a keen eye is to watch every sunset that has ever been or ever will be. -RBDC
  13. Just to mention there is the book and PDF 'Conversations with God' by Neale Donald Walsch. I read some of it and found it interesting.
  14. @HMD Glad it's working for you. Ever notice when you really focus your attention it starts to take on steam of it's own? Like it meets you halfway when you put the right effort in. *Sometimes it's known as "Single pointedness of mind." That's when amazing things can happen.
  15. I can make a shoe stink. That's something right? Jk We good? Didn't mean to deny your experience. Your Truth is your Truth. Don't allow Anyone to take that from you.
  16. @Jowblob I've known this, probably since before you were born. Been there, done that. Without the use 5Meo. But thanks for helping me understand what the experience of 5Meo is like. Never did it. But it sounds totally valid. Exactly! Was just saying exactly this the other day to a neighbor who is very, very sick and most likely doesn't have much time left. *My exact words to him, since he is a religious kind of fellow, were: "Heaven surrounds you now"
  17. Which is nothing? Or 'No-thing' with a capital 'N'? If that is what you are saying, then I agree.
  18. You may be on to something here but not in the way you think. In the spirit of leaving no stone unturned I have to ask myself: what if it was that what 5Meo-DMT actually does is create a temporary manic state or 'episode of schizophrenia' that causes one to have Delusions of Grandeur? Delusions of being God? This was my thought when I first saw Leo's video of him 'tripping' on 5Meo. What if the human ego is simply unable to except the fact that God is actually -nothing? * Don't hate me for asking this. But it needs to be called into question. Take 5Meo and anyone can instantly become God?
  19. When sitting in meditation with a still mind it's as if one tunes in to the correct frequency. Like tuning a radio to a specific station where insights are being broadcast.
  20. @AerisVahnEphelia Sorry I can't help. I've never had that problem. Actually, it's quite the opposite for me. I've tried to conceal my enlightenment. Even dressed in a suit and tie to look like a corporate executive. And still people will stop dead in their tracks and say: "Look! It's the enlightened one!" He's here!"
  21. Something much bigger than any one thread could be. *The proper use of the forum and its mission was bought into question. Therefore, an appropriate response was provided to set the record straight.
