  1. @ivankiss I think what most people get wrong is in living in time with its past, present and future. Which seems full bodied. But if they were to take a break every once in a while, from time and allow themselves to experience the moment of 'Now' they would soon see it is infinite. *And to take that to the next level. They would discover it is really them that is infinite. While these are only words that at best can only point to truth. Truth with a capital "T" comes only in the form of direct experience.
  2. @Vibes You can get the same here for free. If you know Truth from B.S. Let's put it this way. It's a lot like searching for magic mushrooms in a cow pasture. You gotta know what to take and what to leave.
  3. Glad nobody got the card. Otherwise, I was going to make up for it by taking no one out for dinner. Which I may still do. Reservations- party of 0.
  4. @Princess Arabia Didn't you not get the card?
  5. Neo Advaita Valentine's card....... Roses are red violets are blue I don't exist and neither do you
  6. @Princess Arabia You asked me once "Why you?" And if I answered then it wouldn't have made any sense. This -now is why.
  7. I saw nothing materialize "out of thin air". Just out of his hand or mouth.
  8. From my experience the life I lived was there but a million miles away (so to speak) and very insignificant. Do you remember what you were doing at this time one week ago? Do you need to remember what you were doing at this time one week go?
  9. I have an extensive collection of seashells. I keep them on all the world's beaches.
  10. My experience with death is this. Not actual physical death but death of the attachment to self-identity. So, here's the story- A few years ago, I was into a serious meditation practice. Like 3 times a day for 30-40 min. ea. session for 3 years straight. To be honest not much was happening until I added cessation of the self to the practice. I was practicing no-self. That's when things started to get interesting. The first thing that started happening was consciousness was beginning to become liberated from the body. It felt sort of like an out-of-body experience, but I wasn't floating above myself or remote viewing or anything like that. But it was more like we normally experience conscious- awareness as projecting outward from the self. But that is what changed. Consciousness started to feel like it was outside the body location filling the room I was sitting in. When it first happened it was a bit of a surprise b-c I wasn't expecting that. So, I pulled back and consciousness returned to the usual experience of being projected outwardly from my body/mind's location. Then I thought something here is presenting itself and if I don't muster up the courage to go with it then all the meditation practice will have been for nothing. So, I surrendered to it and just let whatever happens come. What happened next is hard to explain but I was no longer aware of the room I was in. I wasn't even in the body I was in. I became (and I use the word "I " loosely) what I can only describe as being the very fabric of all of reality. Pure Love, potential and intelligence. Suddenly there were no questions. Questions became totally irrelevant b-c everything was already answered and complete within itself. How else could it be? Since that experience, I know exactly where I'm headed when the body falls away. I will be (and I am) the Love and intelligence and pure potential for everything regardless of whether it is manifest or not.
  11. To each his own but I prefer telling myself 'I am in heaven already and have been here forever and can never get out because it includes everything'.
  12. Just enough to keep me here (for now). But this isn't about me. Again, avoidance.
  13. @James123 Instead of asking the question on a forum than dicking around for 3 days talking shit why not just go the direct root and die already. I'm not talking about physical death, but one can experience a complete cessation of self if you were willing to give it total and complete surrender. But instead, you do everything you can to avoid it.
  14. The short answer is I don't know yet. I was placed on an aggressive radiation and chemo treatment program back in Dec. and continues today. In the next week or two I'll be having a CT scan to find out if there is any shrinkage to the main tumor (was 5cm) and affected lymph nodes on my left lung.
  15. This was me about mid November. It was like shock and awe to the system (the ego self) when I ask the Dr. "how much time would I have if I did nothing"? And he tells me -about a month or so. And I'm thinking O.K. so I would have till about Christmas or New Year if I choose to do nothing. And I'm thinking how I liquidate the house and all its contents so it's not too much of a burden on my daughter and son. I totally wasn't prepared for this short notice. At the time I did make my final wishes known to a certain person here on the forum and asked them if they would be willing to step in for me in the event that I could no longer fulfill my Mod duties (they know who they are. And as a side note I asked them to keep it on the hush as a favor to me). Hopefully Leo gives them his final stamp of approval when the time comes. Or even before. @Leo Gura Sorry, didn't mean to put you on the spot. I know this is news to you. So, to answer your question: Life always hangs in the balance. It's a lesson in impermanence that each will learn to accept in their own way, in their own time.
  16. No idea. Why would you do that? Seems like a waste since God is EVERYTHING.
  17. @B222 You are radiating everything you are. The Sun the Moon, the dog taking a dump on the lawn. Thought = Form at play within consciousness.
  18. @Steel Grotto This video is totally on point with this subject from an enlightened perspective. Well worth taking a look see! @9:30 discuses the biblical understanding (conceptual knowledge) vs. consciousness.
  19. Welcome to the forum @Infinitehealer . If Leo says it's fine with him then that's fine with me. The only thing I'd say is I'm not sure if this topic would be more suited under the Philosophy, Science, Technology topic area rather than Spirituality, consciousness, awakening. Do you think black holes could be gateways to other universes/realities?
  20. The first sign that someone has narcissistic tendencies is when they have never asked themself if they have narcissistic tendencies.
  21. It has gone from Stupid to Moron to Retarted. Just as side note: I'm not personally offended by anything said here, myself being over 60. My only concern is the use of language being well beneath what one would expect from a mod. It sounds more like childish playground name calling.
  22. Cognition: is the "mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience = (*Wisdom), and the senses". It encompasses all aspects of intellectual functions and processes such as: perception, attention, thought, imagination, intelligence, the formation of knowledge, memory and working memory, judgment and evaluation, reasoning and computation, problem-solving.
