I'm not anyone to give advice because I sometimes feel loneliness, too -
Everyone feels lonely sometime. And of course you can give advice, your advice matters even more because you have experienced loneliness.
@Focus Shift Thanks loved the advice. Exercise is something i need to start. i figured if i start going outdoors more, i can meet more people and possibly make friends
Hi guys, just found out of this forum, and I am really liking it.
I am 21 have been lonely since high school ( 4 years ). I live with my family, but I am not too close with them. My brothers never hung out with me nor taught me anything. My father is the same. The only person i talk to is my mom but when we do talk its always about a religious talk or something that i done wrong.
sufferedbenefited from an ego death that i experienced a year ago, and ever since then, I have been my own person, i stopped imitating others, i stopped calling people who don't want to hang out with me, i started to focus on my interests and so on.
Come now, I still feel the loneliness rip my heart, even though i benefited from it a lot.
Any advice on handling loneliness ?
I got this advice from my brother: "F*ck everyone, do what you want"
Don't worry about it man. I'm 21, have been changing majors for a couple of years, all my cousins my age are starting their masters right now. But that doesn't bother me because a. Life is not a race ! b. I am actually doing something I love c.In the end we all end up buried away, forgotten.
That was an ominous ending. But take it easy man.

Hi guys, I hope you are doing well.
I just wanted to share a good resource.
V This page contains free esoteric and new age books V
They upload books frequently
This is a book summary I read off their site: The Power of the Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy.
An excerpt of the summary:
Chapter 1: The Treasure House Within You
There are two different types of men:
Magnetized Men, who are full of confidence and faith. They are able to attract opportunities, wealth, health just as a magnet attracts magnetized metals.
Demagnetized Men, who are full of fears and doubts. They attract failure, laziness and poverty. They repel success, wealth and prosperity just as a magnet repels another magnet with the same pole.
The people who use the subconscious mind are able to heal their own bodies, attract an object, an emotional state, a partner, receive many ideas and inspiration, etc.
The law of your mind is the law of belief.
Start by believing in the power of your mind, then believe in belief itself and lastly believe that you can change your situation, no matter how trapped you seem.
“All your experiences, events, conditions and acts are reactions of your subconscious mind to your thoughts.”
The subconscious mind converts your thoughts into a physical reality.
Say, you want to become more productive, and you think, visualize and feel the state of productivity constantly, your subconscious mind marks productivity as a priority and hence it does everything in its power to help you become productive.
Your mind, habits and behavior will work for the single purpose of productivity.
Use this fact to better your life, focus and fill your thoughts with the things you wish to attract and the subconscious mind will work day and night for your demand.
A good example to further your understanding of the relationship between the conscious and the subconscious is the work of a gardener. Your mind is a garden, and you are the gardener. You plant seeds (thoughts) in your subconscious mind all day long.
Those seeds after time, will sprout into a small plant (behavior). If those seeds remain for even longer the small plant becomes a large plant(habit).
“As you sow in your subconscious mind, so shall you reap in your body and environment.”
Foolish men only try to change a situation externally (work hard).
Wise men change their situations internally and externally (work smart).
