How did you came into spirituality?

Or should I rather delete my account on this site and never stumble across advanced spirituality again?

Honestly, I'm just a 21 year old dude who watched videos from actualized to improve his life (which always worked great).
But this time I feel kind of trapped and don't really know what to do.

Hopefully the post does not seem funny and I am happy about any serious feedback.
    Thanks :)

I came into spirituality for the truth which I always have been interested in. If you're interested in that aswell then go for it but it can be a hard journey to take. I suggest you read about the dark night of the soul and ask yourself if you're willing to go through it before you decide that spirituality is for you.

So I am an absolute newbie.
I have no problem admitting that.
I came across the videos on advanced spirituality by chance, because I learned a lot from leo and I wanted to hear his views on god.
I of course knew nothing about it and was shocked at what he said. (Mainly solopsism)

Since the teachings from the videos I had seen from him before were always very practical, I (like many newbies) took his statements literally.

Of course, this led to a lot of confusion and disillusionment, which is why I wrote the post before.
What happened next is fairly typical, I demonized leo, watched videos saying that leo is a psycho leading a cult etc....
I spent hours going through the forum looking at similar posts about god and solopsism. I noticed that there is a lot of disagreement and even aggression within this topic. It didn't feel like the topic was "positive", at least not yet for me.

You assumed what Leo said was true without having realized it yourself. And that's what we all do to some extent in the beginning. My advice though is to not assume anything is true. If you decide spirituality is for you then look for yourself. Everything is there in your own experience. If you start investigating it things will start to unravel.

I temporarily passed the threshold guardian of death. I’ve been on the path for about seven years. For about the last 14 months the pressure has amounted significantly. On a good day I can drop 30% of the ego. With consistency I could probably drop 100%. Consistency is where I fail.

    Ok.

Hope you find the guidance you're looking for.

    "Everything is God's will".

Ok, what is "God's will" in practical terms? How can you measure it? What's the closest you can get to understanding it?

See, if none of the above questions can be answered then that sentence is void of any useful meaning. God is infinite, so anything you can or cannot conceive you could call "God's will", leaving us nowhere.

I think the best measurement of God's will is in relation to our personal will.

Its quite scary for the ego, this loopy feeling everything feels like it's getting dark and heavy sometimes. It makes my jaw clench. I've noticed that certain intelligent people intentionally don't push too far, I think because they fear what's there.

Any wisdom or advice regarding how to deal with this kind of thing, or if it sounds healthy or unhealthy.

If it makes your jaws clench then take a deep breath and relax the jaws. ? Noticing tension and releasing it leads to a more relaxed mind and body.

  5. @PenguinPablo Sure, there are no others so in that aspect solipsism is true but when you start believing that others are only NPC:s without there own consciousness that's when you are in fantasyland.

From the perspective of no others there is also no self. All is consciousness without any separation. So have can we say that others are missing consciousness if all is consciousness?

There is no self meaning that the self is a finite thought aswell as others. There is no no-self, how could non-existence exist?

The fear is a good indicator that you're on the right path.

God has put in us those desires to chase pleasure, be secure, comfortable, have money, avoid pain, illness & etc..

Pleasure is is fine but it's usually in direct opposition to long term happiness. If we were to chase every pleasure we have then we'd soon be out of a job and be living on the streets.

Again pleasure is fine unless we are actually avoiding doing something important which will provide long term happiness.

I don't know of any teacher that says those things aren't absolute enlightenment like he does.

I don't see a problem with defining those as enlightenment or later on the path. I think that the teachers that are later on the path are harder to find.  They probably don't hang on Youtube. ? Or they do but they don't mention the deeper realizations.

Nothing is being said here that isn't already known.  This post was an attention grab and nothing more.  It's hype for his upcoming course.  99 percent of his audience could use the course but he better start at ground zero.  Straight to the deepest stuff ain't gonna work.   99 percent of the audience needs to just listen to the metaphysical and enlightenment episodes first and have done the practices for at least 3 years.  Then take the course.

Honestly I can't really see how you could condense it down to a course. It needs to be adapted to the students progress and hang ups.

Because everything in your experience is imagined by God. That's how reality is created.

For you to be "enlightened" God has to imagine that you one day you "became enlightened". You have a whole story that you tell yourself of how it happened, when it happened, where it happened, and what it means.

Yes all those stories are imagined and the "you" that enlightenment happened to is also imagined. But what you are talking about is not what I would call enlightenment. It's a glimpse followed by stories. At best they start a process that will eventually lead up to enlightenment.
