  1. Come on. Give it a shot! Where's the fun if I give you all the answers? Divine inspiration, of course.
  2. What do you think would be my answer, based on the OP?
  3. Sorry kids, looks like I am late to my own party. Did I miss something?
  4. Good observation. It's funny how similar this whole dynamic is to the pursuit of spirituality. The more desperately you chase it or try to hold on to it, the more it will elude you. So the only way to get it is to be it. You always attract what you are. For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. - Matthew 25:29 -
  5. Great summary. - Yeah, it's pretty amazing when you get to the point where the mental chatterbox starts to sound more and more like the voice of Charlie Brown's teacher. https://youtu.be/ss2hULhXf04?si=7GH7ezxzgUcmXfym
  6. I wonder if anyone on here can relate to this. Couple of years ago I picked up the following line somewhere: "Being spiritually enlightened is like the 'normal' state, with the only difference that you're floating two centimeters above the ground". Leaving aside the validity of this poetic bon mot, this is pretty much how I feel at the moment when walking around. It feels a bit like walking on cotton wool; it's like the energy in and around me is taking on a kind of cloudy, airy and wavy quality... everything just feels less dense than it used to. Sometimes it's almost like walking under water. And no, I am not taking any funky substances at the moment. Anyone else?
  7. @Breakingthewall That's nice.
  8. I am not talking about beauty. I am talking about miraculousness. Which is God. THIS is infinity. It's right here. If you don't recognize infinity within form, you won't recognize it beyond it.
  9. @An young being Awesome, thx for the tips! Naaaw, it's not about making money.. I am just looking for free accommodation; if I'll get some free food too, then that's a welcome bonus. I have a Workaway account an already contacted a whole bunch of hosts in Goa that take on volunteers; it's a great way to travel since a) you get to save some dough, b) you meet lots of cool/interesting people and c) you can learn stuff and make yourself useful, so it's a really cool win-win type of deal. It looks like I am going to arrive in Mumbai on November 29! And from there, I plan to take a train to Goa a couple of days later... hence 'going south'. And then in early/mid January I am probably going to travel up north, roam around Rajasthan and Varanasi and perhaps even spend two or three weeks in Nepal before going back to Europe. Can't wait!
  10. @An young being Thanks for your interesting insights into Tamil culture. In fact, you have made me so curious that I am now thinking about taking a train from Goa to Tamil Nadu during my stay down South and explore your state as well... as I am planning to do volunteering jobs in India in order to make the trip more affordable, what do you think would be a good city/place to stay in Tamil Nadu?

  12. Probably lots of reasons. The ones that @An young being and @PurpleTree have mentioned might be among them... and perhaps also the fact that a snake seems almost like an alien creature to a human being and elicits a very deep rooted & primal fear response from them; all of this is analogous to a human being's relationship with Infinity.
  13. Right here, right now. There are two different ways of looking at the same thing, hence 'perspective'. And one perspective is not more or less valid than the other. The ego is nothing but focussed tunnel vision. It is that which enables God to play the game of life. No ego = no (human) experience. Btw, notice how you yourself are creating a distinction between God/Life/Reality on one hand and ego on the other? Well, that's relativity in action, baby. Thanks for proving my point.
  14. Look at your f@%!ing hand, for Christ's sake! See it moving! You seriously think that this ISN'T a goddamn miracle? Anyway, you are perfectly free to not see it. That's the beauty of reality... nobody is ever being forced to recognize God.
  15. I know right? It is (or should be) so goddamn obvious that the very fact that someone can be blind to the sheer mind-boggling miraculousness of even the most 'mundane' shit is in itself a fucking miracle. God really is the greatest trickster in town, ain't no contest!
  16. The depth of existence is right here. THIS right here is impossible to articulate, but it's not hidden somewhere behind the scenes; it stares you directly in the face, right on the surface. Are you open to that? Or are you so busy chasing after the goddamn holy grail that you're missing it? @Princess Arabia Exactly. 😘
  17. Are you able to understand the total beauty, the unimaginable wonder that is your ilfe right now, as it is?
  18. Well, if that's your definition of enlightenment then I sure as heck hope that I'll NEVER get there.
  19. Sure, the initial impulse of detecting and wanting to solve a problem (which may or may not have a strong emotional component) is perfectly adequate and healthy; but it becomes dysfunctional and counterproductive as soon as it devolves into chronic compulsive anxiety. And it's exactly this kind of unhealthy anxiety that is commonly referred to when people talk about "worrying".
  20. Worry is 100 percent useless. Again, strategic planning ≠ worrying. Worry is just another word for compulsive neurotic anxiety; strategic planning on the other hand is the conscious temporary employment of your rational faculties in order to come up with a specific solution to a specific problem. It's basically the difference between using a hammer for thirty seconds in order to drive a nail into a wall vs having that hammer glued to your hand and compulsively smashing it ahainst your head 24/7.
  21. This is brilliant. @Leo Gura Strategic planning ≠ worrying.
  22. From an absolute perspective, yes. From a relative perspective, you are the captain of your ship. Both perspectives are equally valid, and it is not advisable to brush aside one in favor of the other.
  23. That may very well be the case, but that doesn't mean that you need to proactively seek out the biggest and dirtiest pool of shit in existence and dive head first into it. Life knows better than you which lessons you need to learn at which time. No need to be smarter than God.
  24. Sure, if you don't mind ending up in hell, then knock yourself out... throw all caution to the wind and see where it takes you. Just remember that it's easy (albeit correct) to say "all is divine" when your life is running more or less smoothly. Once shit hits the fan and everything starts falling apart, chances are that you'll be singing a very different tune.
