  1. Depends on how good you are at the skills of being mindful. If you are poor at being mindful or being aware, you think you can get yourself to work?

  3. Everyone wants to be identified with something. They need a sense of belonging and a place where they can have control and where they can exercise some leadership. So it's not surprising religious leaders becoming more and more religious. However, one point of self actualization is to break away from identities and rise to a higher level of consciousness.
  4. Haha at least they treat the Chinese guy as a friend. Anyway, they are disqualified already. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/04/19/china/china-beijing-half-marathon-winners-revoked-intl-hnk/index.html?Date=20240420&Profile=CNN+International&utm_content=1713614416&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook
  5. The fatality rate of 52% is extremely high. This also does not mean that the remaining people who survived may be doing well. Most of them may still have other nagging injuries like headache, extreme pain, being bedridden or they may die from other illness like heart attack but it's not recorded. I have an ex colleague who got covid, seemingly recovered but was in extreme pain that he went to commit suicide few months later by jumping off a building. And given that bird flu has spread widely before, the potential of spreading is still pretty damn high. I would stock up on masks at the very least.
  6. Hope this clears things up giving everyone of us clarity.
  7. Haha when you grow more materially, you may grow less in terms of spirit.
  8. Some sufferings are created in your own mind. You need to go through many experiences or understand about life more! I struggle at work through the minor and major stuff. Well, sometimes you have to look at the positives, sometimes you just have to do the work.
  9. It's normal to seek more. Even if you believe that you have found the holy grail, you still want to find even more.
  10. Read the 6 pillars of self esteem! Another book is how to stubbornly refuse to make yourself miserable about anything. You can also read books by Teal Swan on the shadow!
  11. Discipline equals freedom by Jocko Willink
  12. It's so sad that Sadhguru neglects his health. Does not exercise much and does not even take enough rest.
  13. Being a successful life coach is probably not easy. There is too little money to earn from individual one to one coaching. You have to give talks and sell one to many.
  14. You need to realize cultivating relationship with people is more important than earning money. Because you can always earn money but it's hard to repair a broken relationship.
  15. Stop whining and just do the work. It seems simple but difficult to implement. Another way is to set a target and commit to achieve it. For me, I set a target to clear my mortgage loan.
  16. If you really want to achieve your goals, you will go for them. You would source for a suitable land and approach agent and ask about land price. Few people actually paid 100% on the land they purchased. Most people borrowed or took on around 80% loans. You can start approaching financial officials to see how you can purchase a land and start building a farm. Saving money is just one step. Anyone can say they save money from 10% to 80%. The next step is to go out and ask more questions on how you can buy your land and build your place.
  17. Upsides There is a somewhat coherent flow of information from the first post to the last post. This is in contrast to reddit or Twitter comments where any dogs and cats can just post any comments everywhere. Downsides There is no likes or upvote or downvote buttons so you have no idea if the post is any good (or troll post 😗) until you actually read them.
  18. There are many cute girls with substance. But they have so much knowledge that they will not tolerate bullshlt.
  19. Doing meditation is good. You are taking back control of your mind when you actually sit to meditate. You will be less easily distracted by things.
  20. You can read the book 'Do the work' by Steven Pressfield. Or go to YouTube and find summary of the book!
  21. Your number one priority is to find a job/anything that pays you and earns you decent amount of money. Once you have a stable income, you will gain better control of yourself and will quit smoking.
  22. I would say that it really depends on your level of experience and the amount of self help materials plus psychology studies you have done upon yourself. It is different for everybody. Obviously if let say you are 35 year old and you have studied tons of self-help, you would consider going to a coaching program by a 20 year old a joke though there may be exceptions. Some of us on this forum amassed so much self-help knowledge over the past 5 to 10 years so we probably need to get outstanding materials from top gurus like Leo Gura or Sadhguru.
  23. @SabthGreat let us know what happened after you read the books above.
