  1. The more I adopted the "materialistic” thinking model of death, the less and less scary it became to me. The more spiritual, religious I got, it became more and more scary, infathomable and dark. When you look at it like a computer shutting down and along with it goes your identity, individuality, memories and all the programming, it is much more bearable. This notion of "transportation" and "where do WE go after death" that has been embedded in the man’ psyche from the time immemorial  is the cause of a lot of chicanery, scams and misled beliefs by the mankind. There is NO "you" in the first place  to "go" anywhere. That "YOU"was a product of a software run by your brain function to give you an identity. Brain dead= NO "YOU" that’s it. You were ALWAYS part of this universe, a product of nature with no real agency constantly changing forms.

Ironically enough, the whole notion of “afterlife" promulgated by spirituality and religions has added yet ANOTHER layer of complexity and overwhelm to the whole idea of "death and honestly hasn’t given people real solace. So we would perhaps better off seeing it this way, "we" go to sleep and the "universe" (we!!!) takes care of the rest.

  2. @Leo Gura Contrary to what may appear, Iran is not a monolithic government where all the consequential decisions are made from that central entity. Unfortunately for it's people, There are several power players and entities - sometimes with divergent interests- within the Iranian power structure. Some of which stand to gain politically in a context of heightened tension or even small-scale war with the US. Hence the provoking behaviour.........

I don't handle stimulation well. But I trained to expand my comfort zone.

Few people are as introverted as me.

Most girls I talk to don't believe I am an introvert. That's the training and building state.

Extroversion is actually a mode you can learn to turn on within yourself.

You are more flexible than you give yourself credit for. Going out a lot also desensitizes you, making you harder. Like tempered steel. Not going out makes you soft.

Keeping up with a group of people for extended period of time has to do with not only intro/extraversion but also a robust and innate sensory processing capability. There is more to this matter than just " expanding your comfort zone". I personally have expanded my comfort zone quite a bit throughout life but the fact of the matter is you cannot overcome certain neurological defects. Having large social circles is a privilege only SOME people get to enjoy. Again you might argue who needs that and they are shallow and inauthentic friendships all that. But still, it is hard to deny it's survival advantages and joys it brings to people involved in it.......

  4. Sorry to disillusion some of you guys. But for those with autoimmune conditions there is no going back to "normal diet". It's your wayward immune system that is causing it. Think of it as someone who gets a vaccine against a pathogen. The immune system is forever alerted by that pathogen entering the body. It is wired to react no matter what. Very similarly, and quite sadly, for those with some types of AI diseases, the white blood cells in the body sees food such as bread, chocolate, eggs as foes to defend against. Hence all the brain fog, severe fatigue, joint inflammation and all that. The only real solution is re-wiring the system altogether.....

@Username I mean, they don't seem to having such a bad time. This wouldn't be the case since many groups of friends meet quite often and they don't seem to come to it from a neurotic approach. But since it seems they can interact with the outside world with more flow and love, I can imagine that they must be more mindful with less resistance.

What do you mean by this?

    @fopylo

My friend!  Depending on how you might view it, you are blessed/cursed with a different type of brain; Social interactions are surely a challenge along with many other areas that involve fast-paced activities. Your brain tends to be slow in processing and integrating info in general. You tend to have an analyzing mind which approaches matters more DEEPLY as opposed to QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY. Nowhere is this more in display than social occasions where fluidity is KEY to functioning well. There are such challenges. BUT the important thing is first: KNOW that you are wired differently and accept it as part of your make up. seek advice from therapists specialized in coaching people with HSP .  Second: HSP traits come with many upsides. educate yourself on those in order to chart a better course for your life going forward. Third: Go into professions that are well-suited to your strengths and talents which are plenty I'm sure.

Sorry if it came off as too blunt or harsh. But I think at the end, despite it being a random, unsolicited advice coming from anonymous guy, it's the right thing to do ;)

  6. @Leo Gura There is a chance a lot of us would have to live without pizza, ice cream, sandwiches, pastry, chocolate and coffee. I would say NO to that lifestyle. Truth is, pleasure of food counts for a huge chunk of pleasure in this world. I'm not sure that life is worth living. You can make millions of dollars and have a gratifying career and all that but if you cannot so much as enjoy a cup of cappuccino and a dark chocolate bar after a long workday?? ! No thank you!!!! I can only hope either fecal transplants or Stem Cell therapy does the trick and spare people the immense suffering..................

The urge to jump is precisely because you're so conscious you realize it makes absolutely no difference whether you jump or not. So why not jump? You want to jump just to prove to yourself that death isn't real and there is nothing to fear.

Once, on a high dose of 5-MeO-DMT I got the urge to turn on the stove and press my hand on it, just to see that pain isn't real.

So yeah, you do have to be careful. It is possible to do stupid and dangerous things on psychedelics. Psychedelics can eliminate all your normal inhibitions because they wipe out fear. Fear is basically what keeps you alive.

Quite an interesting take on Psychedelic hallucinations......... "You realize you got nothing to lose". Part of me resonates with that for sure.

  8. @Dunnel You have no idea how those problems are so easily taken care of in the path of enlightenment. Don't get me wrong. I know fully well you are not in a place mentally to even think about enlightenment and abstract ideas. But for the sake  of greater good, at least put a pause on your stream of overthinking for now and delay any kinda action. At the moment all you just need is a clearer mind to see things better and back-pedal from self-destructive attitude.  After that there exists myriad sources of support in many forms to bring you back to life and the magic of being alive. Again, TRUST THE WORD OF people in the forum. You'll come to know that your entire existence is pure Love. ❤️
