Ego Trap? Or True Observer?

36 posts in this topic

This is what's happening to me. I try to observe and not get attached to any feeling or thought. It works well, but sometimes I began to think... and if that's not the "observer"??? If that is my ego?

How do I know is not the ego fooling me?

O.o

This is what it says it is: A THOUGHT :P

Don't identify with any thought. See them for what they are: THOUGHTS, let them go. Don't even put yourself down for having thoughts...just see, let go. see, let go. :)

OK, the question was, I specify: Who has the position (concept), that observation can happen, but not by you?

You get the question?

 Interesting stance.

Pretty boring though.
(From my perspective, no offense.)

Can you tell me some benefits of this belief? Or some practical uses...

OK, let's see what a belief is:

Quote

Simple Definition of belief

1) a feeling of being sure that someone or something exists or that something is true

2) a feeling that something is good, right, or valuable

3) a feeling of trust in the worth or ability of someone

So what is it good for? Why promoting that there is no Self?

Of course, once deprived from the Self... there is no interest in anything anymore, I guess.

Oh, there is an I although there is no Self?

Quite interesting.

I'm not enlightened but in my primitive mind I can image that the I... is the famous "I AM"

:-)

As I said, I'm not enlightened but I feel the ego (self) diminishing more and more, and let me tell you that my interests are much more quantity and better than before, when I thought "I" was in control. Now everything seems to be like new. You see things with a different eyes than before. More natural and it follows like a pattern and a flow.

:)
